Chapter 15 

After entering the code, the door opened. 

William pulled Vanessa inside. 

After closing the door, he looked at her with burning eyes. 

When she met William’s gaze, Vanessa’s cheeks instantly burned, and she hurriedly lowered her head. 

He then lifted her chin. 

William’s kiss fell on her lips. 

He still loved Tracy, but his wife was now Vanessa. 

It was the woman in front of him who had worked so hard for her loved ones. 

All of his future would be shared with her. 

He would try to love her. 

His kiss deepened. 

Vanessa was a bit overwhelmed. 

Her mood had been greatly impacted today. 

She had always thought she had forgotten about Jackson, about the heartfelt and heartbreaking relationship she had once had with Jackson. 

After meeting Jackson today, she realized she was still hurt. 

Perhaps, she was not willing to accept this fact. 

She was not willing to be broken up, not willing to be misunderstood, or not willing to be wronged.. 

What she was most upset about was that he was unwilling to give her a chance to explain. 

Several years of relationship could not be compared to a few photos. 

So, three years ago, when he asked for a breaking up on the phone, she did not say a word to save their relationship. She only said, “Okay,” and hurriedly hung up the phone. 

She did not let him know that she crouched on the floor and cried her heart out after she hung up. 

She moved out of Estain City quickly and started a new life. 

But unexpectedly, they met again. 

She had just gotten caught in the rain and was cold all over, but instead, she felt less pain in her heart. She reached out and wrapped her arms around William’s neck, standing slightly on her tiptoes. 

He had said the other day that she could count on him, that he was her husband. 

They had also said that they would be a couple for life when they registered their marriage. 

Feeling Vanessa’s response, William’s kiss went a little deeper. 

After a while, he let go of her, his eyes looking at her tenderly, his thumb gently rubbing her cheek as he smiled. “We have 

a lifetime to cultivate our relationship slowly. Go take a shower. Don’t catch a cold. You go to the master bedroom’s bathroom. I’ll go to the guest bathroom.” 

“Okay Vanessa suddenly felt she was in trouble. 

She was all wet now. She could shower, but she did not have clothes to change. 

William glanced at Vanessa’s clothes and said, “Wear mine first. Come on!” 

He walked into the master bedroom. 

Vanessa followed him in. 

The house could really be called a humble abode for William. It was small and plain. 

But to Vanessa, it was already a big house. 

She was starting to get a sense of inferiority in her heart. 

Chapter 15 

William was excellent in every way. His house was still so clean and tidy. 

But then again, she thought, she could pay the mortgage with William together later. 

With that thought, Vanessa felt a little more at ease. 

William took a new shirt and gave it to Vanessa. “You can wear this first. You can put the clothes you’ve changed out of by the door, and I’ll put them in the washing machine. They can be worn as soon as they are washed. We’ll go shopping for your clothes after that.” 

He had lived in a wealthy family since he was born, and he just learned how to use the washing machine. 

“No, no. I’ll come out and wash them later, Vanessa said immediately. 

She was embarrassed to let William help wash her clothes. 

“Okay,” William gently responded. 

Vanessa held William’s shirt and went to the bathroom. 

Just after closing the door, William knocked on the bathroom door. 

Vanessa jumped up in shock. 

William said through the door, “Honey, there are one new towel and other items in the bathroom cabinet and slippers. underneath, and the women’s ones are new.” 

He had already decided to get married when he went on a blind date, so he asked Ben to buy two of many things. 

He did not buy clothes for Vanessa because he did not know who the blind date was and what size of clothes to buy at the time. 

“Okay, okay,” Vanessa immediately responded. 

She was relieved to hear William’s footsteps leave. 

Then she curled her lips and smiled. They were married, so what was the point of her fear? It was reasonable, even if he really wanted to do something to her. 

It was so cold. She quickly took off her damp clothes and turned on the shower. 

In just a moment, she felt the warm water drenching her body, and this heat washed away the coldness of her body and the sadness. 

She became optimistic again.. 

Her father was saved by William’s good friend, and her brother was successfully fitted with cochlear implants. 

Maybe her father could get better and be with them for a long time. 

Her brother would also be able to hear the outside world in a month’s time…. 

Vanessa finished her shower and got dressed. 

She was feeling embarrassed again. 

She only had a shirt for her to change into. 

She did not dare to change her underwear at all, and thankfully it was not completely soaked, so she could wear it for now.

But looking at this moment, he felt she was pure and charming, and even the word “stunning” could hardly describe her beauty. 

His gaze became a little hot again. He said, “Tve changed my clothes too. Is it okay to wash them with yours together?” 

He simply blew his hair with a hair dryer. His hair was fluffy and natural, adding a touch of handsomeness and gentleness. 

“Yes, of course. Vanessa crouched slightly and pulled open the washing machine, putting her own clothes in. And then she 

and said, “Are your clothes in the guest bathroom? I’ll go get them.”

When she passed William, he reached around her waist and brought her into his arms. 

She smelled his scent completely and felt the changes in his body. 

Her heart beat fast, and she was too nervous to look at him. 

“Don’t be afraid of me. I’ll be responsible for your life for the rest of my life. William bent his head to look at Vanessa. His eyes were gentle and deep. 

Maybe it was not about love, but he knew he wanted to do something for her. 

“I know. I know you’re a nice man. He had always been there for her. She knew it in her heart. 

Seeing the gratitude in Vanessa’s eyes, William reached up and rubbed her face. 

He saw a touch of emotion and forbearance in her eyes, making him feel he was taking advantage of Vanessa’s difficulties if he wanted to do something to her. 

It was fine. They had known each other only for a short time and had no feelings. It was understandable. 

He had a lifetime to cultivate a relationship with her slowly. 

Laughing a little, he let go of her. 

Vanessa immediately said, “I’ll get your clothes.” 

She hurried off to the guest bathroom to get his clothes. 

William sat down on the couch and called on his cell phone to arrange for a clothes delivery. 

He had ordinary clothing chain stores and tailored clothing in his name. 

He was afraid that Vanessa would be under pressure and had someone send over ordinary clothes. 

The price was within a few hundred dollars. 

He roughly estimated Vanessa’s size and had five sets of clothes sent over, including the ones worn inside. 

Once Vanessa had carried William’s clothes out and put them in the washing machine, she was so embarrassed that she immediately went to get a drink of water and poured William another cup 

of water. 

“Come here!” William said. 

Vanessa was a little stunned. 

She was so panicked. 

She was afraid that what would follow next would be something indescribable. 

Even though they were married, even though she knew it was unreasonable to say no, and even though she knew they would have sex sooner or later, she really was not ready. 

She took a breath and came over anyway, sitting nervously not far from William. 

William looked at Vanessa helplessly and said, “The hair dryer is out of reach. You sit over here a little.” 

At some point, he brought the hair dryer over. 

Seeing the hair dryer, Vanessa’s heart filled with emotion.
