Tracy Yost later received a call from the police saying that the matter had been resolved privately. She heaved a sigh of relief.
She was worried William Hawk would send her to prison to teach her a lesson, knowing he was ruthless and heartless.
William threw Tracy’s dessert into the trash after she left.
He did not appreciate her attentiveness; it was all a pretense.
Then, he removed his jacket and threw it into the trash too. He gestured at Danny for the dessert box in his hand.
He asked Vanessa, “Did you prepare this for me?”
Vanessa recovered from her initial shock at seeing William throwing away his jacket.
Other than the fact that he was too rich, Vanessa admired everything about William.
She immediately asked for the dessert box from Danny.
Although Danny was mute, he was a meticulous and observant young man. The grievance and unhappiness in his heart instantly disappeared when he saw William throwing away his jacket.
He immediately handed the dessert box to his sister.
Vanessa put the dessert box before William and said, “I bought it on the way. I’ll make some for you personally in the future.”
William extended his hand to Vanessa.
The latter was stunned momentarily before reacting. She paused and reached out to pinky swear with him.
It was just dessert. Vanessa was more than happy to make some for William.
William smiled in satisfaction and opened the dessert box..
Now that Vanessa knew William’s family background, she feared he would not appreciate the store–bought dessert. “You said you had a meeting this morning, so I bought your favorite cheesecake.”
“You remember that?” William’s lips curled up.
He had casually mentioned he had a morning meeting, and she remembered.
William knew fully well why Tracyt had called the police just now. She thought presumptuously that with an impulsive and reckless younger brother like Danny, Vanessa would no doubt cause trouble and embarrass him in the future. It was her way of reminding him all was not well.
However, Tracy would never guess what the Sanchez family had was precisely what William admired, liked, and wanted for himself.
William was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and had been pampered since he was young. Everyone around him was respectful to him on the surface. Other than a few buddies who would risk their lives for him, others had ulterior motives. or were afraid of him. Tracy Yost was one of the former.

William pressed the intercom and told the secretary to prepare a fruit platter for Vanessa and Danny and to remove the trash.
The secretary was stunned when she saw William eating cheesecake in his office.
“Mr. Hawk’s taste is strange. Does he prefer store–bought dessert instead?” she thought.
The restaurant at Hawk Group could prepare the same if William so desired.
Not daring to ask further, she quickly took out the trash. When she saw the jacket, she asked in shock, “Mr. Hawk, are you throwing this jacket away too?”
“Yes,” William replied.
The secretary quickly left the office without another word.
A few minutes later, she brought a fruit platter.
William invited Danny and Vanessa to eat.
Danny thanked him and started.
He was barbaric when he hit Tracy just now, but he ate the fruits like a refined young man.
William finished the cheesecake in no time. It was not the best dessert, but Vanessa bought it. Therefore, he tried his best to finish it. That was his way of showing appreciation to his loving wife.
It was lunchtime, finally.
William took Vanessa and Danny to the Hawk Group restaurant.
The restaurant was reserved for the company’s top management; ordinary employees could not access this floor.
It was very quiet inside.
William had a private room in the restaurant.
As soon as they sat down, the waiter began to serve the dishes.
It was a menu William had personally ordered.
It included Vanessa’s favorite dishes and those beneficial to Danny’s health.
There were ten dishes for the three of them.
“There are too many dishes,” Vanessa said and fell silent immediately. She thought that perhaps William usually ate like

William took one look at Vanessa and knew her mind. He smiled and explained, “I was entertaining you and Danny, so I ordered a few more dishes. I’m usually very frugal. Come, let’s cat.”

“Really? I don’t believe you’re frugal” she thought.
William threw away a jacket that cost thousands of dollars and broke a bracelet worth 600,000 dollars.
William served Vanessa personally; then, he served Danny.
Danny was flattered and immediately gestured in sign language to thank him.
William deshelled some prawns and gave them to Vanessa.
She immediately sat up. “No need for that. I’ll do it myself.”
“I’ll help you.” William deshelled another prawn for Vanessa and placed one on Danny’s plate.
Danny was even more flattered and repeatedly gestured in sign language.
“You’re welcome” William smiled and waved at him.
Suddenly, Ben rushed over to the table while they ate.
“Have lunch with us, Ben,” William said.

Ben waved his hands repeatedly. “No, thanks.”
He was petrified to find himself rushing in like a third wheel, angering his boss.
“Let’s have lunch today. From tomorrow onwards, you don’t have to work here,” William said.
“Mr. Hawk, I-” Ben almost broke down on his knees. He did not want to intrude on their lunch. He honestly did not know that his boss’s wife was here too!
“From tomorrow onwards, go to the hospital and keep Danny company. Get familiar with his lifestyle so that you can help. with his rehab later,” William continued.
“All right. Of course. Ben heaved a huge sigh of relief.
It turned out that William wanted him to help his brother–in–law in rehab. Ben almost peed his pants, thinking otherwise.
He quickly greeted Vanessa. “Hello, Mrs. Hawk.”
Then he gestured in sign language to Danny. “Hello, Danny.”
It was hard work for Ben. He did not know sign language before. Therefore, after volunteering to keep Danny company during his rehab, he had to stay up late every night to learn sign language. Fortunately, he understood most of it now.
“I’ll get another cutlery set for you,” said Vanessa.
“Oh, please don’t bother, Mrs. Hawk. I’ll get it myself. Ben ran to get the waiter quickly. He knew his place and would not want to risk his career for some cutlery.
He left the private room and asked the waiter for another cutlery set. Then, he returned to report to William. “Mr. Hawk, the three supplementary cards are ready. They have the same limits as the main cards.”
He retrieved three bank cards.
Two of them were credit cards and one was a savings card.
William handed the cards to Vanessa. “Honey, I’ve gotten three supplementary cards for you. I’ll get someone to help you get the VIP cards for the various venues.”
