Feeling Caroline’s eyes on her, Avery clenched her fists. She tried to persuade her mother, “Mom, we misunderstood Caroline, so you should apologize to her!”

Caroline smiled playfully. She didn’t look at Lia at all. Instead, she was looking at Avery

After a while, she got down on her knees, gritting her teeth “Fine, I’ll apologize on my mother’s behalf. Are you happy now?”
