Adam (Jamie)

All day I was frustrated about that stupid dinner and now that stupid smell can’t leave my senses. To say I was cranky will be beyond your imagination. I just want to let it all out and want a much needed run, let it free in nature where I can find peace. I thought coming home would give me some time at peace but, no, they all were ranting about dinner. I was warned again to behave properly, like I’m five years old or something, I know how to behave.

Right now I just took a much needed shower, so that some of my steam leaves my body, glancing at the clock to see we still have two hours before this dinner, and better dress now than later. I picked a simple white t-shirt and black denim, quickly putting them on. I put my sneakers on and combed my hair, just checking my appearance once more in the mirror. I look fine I guess. Then quickly prepared a small bag for Ethan as seeing he is still in Roman’s house I need to change him to and he’s a little messy at times so, better have extra clothes, just in case.

I hurriedly descended the stairs and I was out of my house to them in record time of course locking the front door. As I entered the house I was met with silence just little murmurs coming from kitchen and there I saw Emma and Eva talking among them and so engrossed in their talk that they didn’t even notice me skipping behind them and I whispered in Emma’s era “What you guys talking about?” and to my astonishment they both shrieked so loudly that whole neighborhood must have heard and to see them like this all scared for their life and god their expression making me laugh out of my mind Emma expression changed into relief one so does Eva’s then Emma smiled a small one and when I quieted down some she said “it’s been long since I saw you laugh like that” I know what she’s talking about but, I don’t want to talk about that thank moon goddess Eva interrupted our inner battle of thoughts and said “well I think I should go and change into something more presentable and Jamie don’t ever do that again″ she more than ordered than said I lifted my hands in surrender then she left the house saying her goodbye .

“So Where is everyone?” I asked Emma once we were alone.

“Well as you see I’m in the kitchen and Roman is going to come shortly and the two monsters and your lovely brat are in his room doing god knows what” Emma said while packing the last of the desert which she prepared.

“Well then I better save those two monsters before they become one brats too” I said over my shoulder as I left the kitchen only greeted by Emma’s laugh.

When I neared Jeremy’s door I slowly peeked inside the room with little noise I can make and much to my amusement I was met by the floor which is covered in clothes, same goes with bed, well you got my drift and the next I saw was the site to see Jeremy was holding two shirts in his hand and asking the two little monsters what he should wear I wish I Joshua was here I bet he will be rolling down on the floor laughing his lungs out.

I cleared my throat loudly to catch their attention and when Jeremy saw me he happily cried and lunged towards me, clinging to his dear life and said “please save me”, confused by his action I awkwardly patted his shirtless back and asked “from what, a cloth tornado I assume”

“don’t sass me Jamie, just help me trying get ready for the dinner you know I need to impress Summers elder brother Logan, you know I need to be in his goods books otherwise goddess help me he will definitely pummel me to death, he’s scary you know and Alpha on that it crosses all the worst line vision of my nightmares and those two monsters are not help, instead of helping me they are playing with my clothes and trying to build god knows what, so help me” Jeremy rant finished and he plops down on his bed face first.

Okay I thought it was quite a speech and not to leave the way my heart flutter at the mention of Logan, which I don’t like one bit, so discarding my own stupid scenarios of it I try to focus matter in hand “I don’t get it why you have to impress him, just be yourself and besides everyone likes you and that Alpha will come around eventually now, don’t be a baby get up and let’s get you dress” I said and pulled him up from the bed.

“Yeah, yeah easier said than done, you haven’t met the Alpha/Summers elder brother, I can’t wait to see the look on your face when you will meet him and then we’ll talk” Jeremy grumbled from behind me.

I just ignored him and took some random jeans out from his well organized closet and light green t-shirt and threw at his face “now don’t be a brat go change, and before you start fussing I might tell you we have only half an hour left to visit at Alpha house, so go” I said to him and shushing all his protest before it started, grumbling under his breath he disappeared in his bathroom.

I scooped both Riley and Ethan in my arms before they further chewed Jer’s clothes and took them downstairs to change them into more decent clothing.

After 15 minutes Jeremy was all set and little nervous but, all together he wasn’t crumbling into ground so that’s good, both the monsters were all tidy in their baby clothes, Ethan was wearing little jeans and round neck blue shirt and sweater over in case they get chills and Riley was wearing same just yellow sweater over and they both looked cute and Emma was all dressed in her knee length gray dress and Roman was wearing old jeans and a dress shirt over. Well we were all ready to go but, I don’t get it why have dinner when he can just call me over and have a chat if he wanted to meet me, stupid Alpha and their stupid ways and ego.

“Okay let’s go guys, we have to be there in ten minutes” said Roman, ushering us all out of the front door and locking it behind us.

“Well aren’t we going to wait for Josh and Eva?” I asked Roman, adjusting Ethan in my arms and glancing at him.

“They are going to meet us there” Roman said, taking Riley from Emma’s arm, I just nodded.

We all quietly made our way towards Alpha house and there was indeed Joshua and his mate standing waiting for us. As we approached them Eva skipped towards me and happily took Ethan from my arms and started cooing at him and then Joshua the great can’t hold his tongue for a second “well look who’s all cleaned up and dressed to impress” while patting Jer’s back, Jer was about to reply when Roman interjected him “okay calm and behave you two, especially you Joshua” he pointed his finger towards him.

“what? I always behave.” Joshua said mockingly, the drama queen he is.

I just stand there watching them exchange some colorful words, and try not to focus on my wolf’s heightening presence and the way he was urging me to go forward and search for something, I don’t know but it’s totally making me a little at the edge. When all of them calmed down, Roman knocked on their door. I was standing at the very back trying to get less attention that I can cater to myself Joshua and Eva were right front of me still holding Ethan in her arms.

After a few seconds the door was opened and there stood Suzie holding that bright warm smile on her face which can make anyone’s gloomy day a lot better and happier.

She hugged each one of us with that smile and made cooing noises towards the toddlers and as cue Matthew joined us with his two younger children there too as I was the last one to enter the house still watching the warms exchange from outside and as I entered the house I was hit by the strong rather overwhelming smell which was very strong masculine for better sense I took the large breath it sent me and my wolf in frenzy it was sweet earthy smell like the first rain if that make any senses, my wolf was going crazy wanted to left out and found the source of this heavenly sent. But, I restrained my wolf as Suzie embraced me in her embrace, I reciprocated her hug and snatched it for another one into Matt’s, oh this family like giving hugs after all the exchange.

Suzie scolded me a little “you Jamie my boy I’m very angry with you that you haven’t visited any of us in these past days”

“no no it’ not like that Suzie it’s just I’m busy with school and then Ethan was not well, so I couldn’t catch time to meet you guys up, besides I’m here aren’t I” I said in gentle tone , basically don’t want her to go all Godzilla on me.

“let that aside Suzie and give the boy a break and come on let’s sit in the living room” said Matt I silently thanked him and we all were sitting in living room now Ethan and Riley playing on the mat or more than crawling here and there while Roman and Emma chatted with Matt and Suzie, Joshua was talking to Jeremy and Summer. Eva was trying hard to control Josh not to jump on Jer’s bones and I was concentrating not to show any sign of distress my wolf was causing me. And one person who was missing was Ryan where he was “well missing me Adam” speak of devil and he shall appear , Ryan sat beside me smiling like a fool “how many times I have to tell you not call me Adam?” I said with a raise of my eyebrow.

“Well clearly not enough times” Ryan said “well are you excited to meet my brother and your Alpha” he added further

Just what I need at the moment “what’s there to be excited about he’s just the Alpha of the pack and he needs to meet me at some point so I don’t think there anything to be excited about” I said to him with all the effort I can put in me not to strangle him right at this very moment.

“What’s not to be excited about?” said the voice right over me and that voice send chills at the back of my spine in pleasurable way, I curled my hands into tight fist at my side and I did not look up to meet the source of this voice which made my wolf snarl at me I took a quick breath which was definitely the bad Idea, my senses were all over the place. I have to refrain from my wolf going all crazy right there, and I don’t know what this means even though it’s my first experience.

“Oh Logan finally you show yourself in front of our guests, well come on son let me introduce you to Jamie” said all excited Suzie

Everyone stood up and I had to comply to so I stood up and exhaled the breath out stood prepared to face the Logan guy, as he came to stand beside his mother and greeted my brother’s and their mates and even hugged Jeremy too, and I did not try to look right up to him, I can practically feel his body heat towards me.

Oh goddess please don’t be the one I think he is please , I don’t even know how this can be possible all the places I have to find him here, kill me now. Then I heard Suzie saying my name that made me snapped out of my inner thoughts.

“Well last but, not the least is Jamie Roman’s and Joshua’s younger brother” Suzie said and the same time I looked up to the Logan, my blue one’s meet his intense black ones and it felt like all the air is sucked out of me and there is no one in the room beside us, and my wolf said that one word which proves to make my world upside down

“Mate”
