Next morning was just as interesting like yesterday but, the only difference is that yesterday was action filled day but, today I’m happy have a perk in my steps, because my mate has accepted me and ready to give me and this relationship a chance, and I can’t wipe that grin on my face from last night. Right now I’m waiting in my office of my mate the lawyer of the council that made out the contract for Cynthia , I just can’t believe that I’m adopting Erin with Adam , it’s so surreal to even imagine, yet it’s happening to me and so many emotions are running to right now, I just don’t know.

I was braked from my thoughts from the opening of the door of my office and came in my mate with the little bundle of joy or monster as he address him, he looks dashing in his washed dark jeans and blue button down shirt, he came straight to me stood in front of me, when I raised my eyebrow in question , his question took me of guard “Are you having second thoughts about this?, if you are please tell me now, not when I’m in this for long haul” he said and the way he said broke my heart, I instantly stood up took his face in my hands and said “no seconds thoughts, only thoughts I’m having is that you are my future, Ethan and Erin are going to be my future, you understand” I said to him , he just merely nodded his head and sighed and the added “ I just… I don’t know how this will work, and I’m scared that it’s you going to leave and say it’s not what you want , and after all I’m the one in the beginning told you we are nothing, didn’t I”

“hey hey…. Stop right there” I said and stopped his nonsense “listen here Adam I know what happened and not to forget that I also said some cruel things to you and towards Ethan too, but what done is done ok, we need to move on let ourselves give a chance to have a future together, to have a relationship together right” I asked softly.

“right” he merely whispered although we are quite similar in heights but, I’m little taller than him so he softly placed his head on my chest not to crush our little monster, ‘ours’ definitely I like the sound of it, I too embraced him and Ethan, softly kissed each of their heads, and sighed in content. Our moment was cut short with the knock on the door we pulled apart from each other and peaked at my father and said “Mr. Nelson is here, and mind telling me what the council lawyer is doing here”

“not right now day, but I will” I said taking seat behind my desk “will you just send him in please” he only nodded and left, I turned towards my mate and said “take a sat and let’s do it”

“together” he said while taking a seat in one of the chairs.

When Mr. Nelson arrived shortly, he ran down what Cynthia had said in her will, apparently she and her husband left quite a good amount of money for their son, although Cynthia is not yet dead but, we know that she’s barely making it through. Mr. Nelson told us with basic rules of the adoption and surprise visits from him just, to make sure everything is alright, but it’s just protocol nothing much, Erin father was the beta of their former pack and good one that too, I don’t mind having all the conditions and agreeing to them too, I love all the children me and Adam will have, no matter they are biologically mine or not. When all the information he served through us and then he gave us the copies of the contract, but he gave me two copies and only one to Adam, I just shrugged it off. He told us about where to sign and what to read, what the clauses meant when one of us asked. When I completed the first copy of the adoption with Erin, I opened the next copy given to me and started reading it, when I reach the middle it was written adoption of ETHAN CHRISTOPHER RYKER, I read it twice, thrice and then looked at Adam, find him already staring at me and then to Mr. nelson who was checking the signed documents.

“Adam what’s all this?” I asked him, still taken aback.

“Mr. Nelson can you give us a moment alone” Adam asks him, he just nodded and left us to be and then Adam continued “ I thought that we are already adopting Erin, and why not I officially make you Ethan’s other daddy too, because he always looks at the door waiting for you to show up, I know it’s taken you aback, but consider it and if you don’t want to then it’s ok too, I don’t mind I tho…” I abruptly cut Adam by kissing him, I mean full on kissing him hard, and when we pulled apart we both were panting “you know you rant too much”

“what” he asked still dazed from my kiss, glad to know he was affected from my kisses, “nothing and to answer for your question, yes I’ll be Ethan’s other daddy” and with that I signed all the necessary places and we called Mr. Nelson in, he saw the contract and in few minutes he left us to be and now I can say that I’m officially a dad of two handsome boys.

“Well, so what’s now?” I asked, looking at my mate and my son.

“Let’s go and get our other son” he said and took my hand, squeezed it and smiled up at me.

Together we entered the pack hospital, not hand in hand but together nonetheless; all eyes were towards us watching as we made our way towards the Cynthia’s room, some greeted me but that was it, but as we reached near the room we were greeted by the chaos and some shouting, this can’t be good not at all, Adam quickly handed me Ethan made inside the room and demanded to his brother what happened but, he was pushed out of the room, he looks restless , even I’m too not happy but, we have to wait that’s what we can do, feeling the distress in the room Ethan started to fuss and cry, Adam quickly hold him close and sat near chair and rocked him and taking his comfort to sooth his heart to, I sat beside them and took Adam hand in mine and said “Adam it’s going to be fine, even if Cynthia doesn’t make it , we have Erin to look after to love, right, we have our son’s” quietly for his ears only, to which he just nodded; hold my hand little tighter and just then the door opened and Joshua came towards us , we abruptly stood to know what’s going on before I could say anything Adam beat me to it , and asked “what happened Joshua?”

Joshua just glanced at me then to Adam then to Ethan, he heaved a sigh of distress and shook his head and lastly utter those words that no one wants to hear “sorry Jamie but, she didn’t make it” and hugged his brother close to him, and Adam hold him just as close, after few minutes they parted and Adam made his way inside the room , handling Ethan to me but looked at me before entering the room “you coming” , I just shook my head “ just you go, I take care of the funeral”, with that he made his way inside the room, for his last goodbye.
