There is no mirage when it comes to the battle ground, no second thoughts when you are fighting the enemy for your loved ones, who are alive and the ones are no more? There is no room for mistake or even the slightest nudge in the wrong direction could cost you your life.

Here I am ready to fight the hardest fight I would have ever fought, trying to avenge the loved ones I have already lost and trying to protect the new ones I got.

Emotions have no part in the battle ground. This is a war that I have to win by hook or crook.

I see the pack, my family, the other Alphas, my friends, my mate all standing by my side ready to be part of the grueling war just for me, so that I can avenge the death of my family, the pack I have lost, for Ethan who lost his birth parents, for Cynthia Erin’s birth mother and my great confider for so long, all lost their life so that I could be free, so that my brothers could be free.

We are already in our positions Andrea, Iris and I hidden further south and waiting for them to make the move and we don’t have to wait any longer.

One of the rules in the battle ground is to never lose your control. Patience is a virtue and I think they are just at the wits end of their. Bid mistake.

“Ready as I ever will be Iris” I replied “I have waited for this for a long time” . We are currently on the highest branch of the tree and could see all the action from here. You can hear the wolf’s howls, the snarling but, that witch is still not out from her hiding hole. Coward, I thought.

“Be ready Adam” said Andrea who is inspecting the area with her sharp senses, she is a lot stronger than she looks and more feral then any rogue, she is unique. “On count of three we attack” and right then he heard the voice of his mate saying him to attack through their mind link, and attack he does, together they shifted mid air standing on all fours both Andrea and I are black in color with her wolf having tint of gold in its fur and whereas mine is just jet black with the diamond shape vertical between his eyes with the swirl of gold in it, while Iris is white, like snow.

Together we reached the battle ground, blood spilling like the water wolves crying in rage and hunters out with their weapons with the coating of the wolf’s bane , Andrea and Iris were quick to scatter themselves in the war zone and showed those hunters and rogues who is the boss.

But my eyes zoned on my mate who was battling alone with the rouges circling around him and one of them jumped on his back mad without wasting any time. I was there sinking my teeth in the rouges neck killing him instantly and together we battled the rouges.

When together these rouges don’t stand a chance on us. “Are you ok” I asked him through our mind link and inspecting the area and the need to find the culprit of all this blood bath.

‘yeah’ was his short reply and we again dived to finish these scoundrels who were a threat to us.

More hunters and rogues keep on piling on and I can see few of our wolves were injured but, still going strong, with the blink of eye rouge jumped on me out of nowhere and pinned me down, putting all the weight on me and try to squish me with his weight, but soon the rouge was flying to other side of the field and I looked to see Andrea’s wolf snarling at someone particular ahead of us and soon every person stilled on the field and parted their way for someone coming from the dark “well well aren’t you a handsome wolf” said the nasal whiny voice of the witch, the main catalyst of this war.

I stood up and shook my fur and growled in warning to which she dismissed and laughed “oh someone is angry” mocked me.

Andrea came to stand beside me and growled at her and showed her razor sharp canines and soon I was joined by my mate, the other Alphas and the King himself who is now in human form came forward but someone came abruptly and stood like a bodyguard between us and veronica. But before I could retaliate Delilah soon joined the conversation taking Veronica’s surprise she didn’t know about her being here and Delilah wasn’t alone, she brought her troop along “look around bitch, more of your weasels are there”

“oh my that’s not how I raised you” Veronica scolded Delilah “ I have taught you manners”

Delilah snorted “yeah right I rather be a brat then think with my open legs, bitch” spat on her face “and I tell you what I would have a great pleasure seeing you die because goddess knows how bad I want it”

“Oh such hostility towards your own mother, you need to learn manners” Veronica said with the hard eyes full of hate, and loath.

“We see about that” Delilah said “I see you still hang onto that bitch Motif, you could have done so much better.”

Motif tries to lunge at Delilah but I stood in front of her and growled menacingly at him and in blink of an eye I changed into my human form, anger radiating from me in waves and took threatening steps at her and stood head to head, toe to toe with her and said loud enough so that everyone can clearly hear me “if you are so sure that you will win then why hide? If so sure then why don’t fight with your men? Letting your weasels do your dirty work huh, Veronica” tilted my head to the side and studied my enemy for her reaction.

“I’m not just sure I know that I will win” Veronica said with conviction “and when I do you will get to know exactly what I do to the weasels that don’t follow my command.”

“Such big words Veronica, such big words” Adam taunted her.

“Fine Adam if you want to fight, then fight you will get” Veronica arrogantly said.

“Bring it on” Adam taunted back.

And all the hell broke loose.
