Chapter 32

Ace p.o.v.

“So mind explaining what happened exactly?”

I looked up hearing Daleyza’s voice to find her walking into the room. She crossed her arms in front of her and took a stance. To be honest it looked so sexy I couldn’t focus for a second. I stalked up to her and before she could protest I wrapped my arms around her burying my face in her neck. She tried to struggle against me but it only cause my grip to tighten. She gave in and I smiled.

“I don’t want to talk about it.” I mumbled as I started walking backwards toward the bed with her pressed against me.

“Ace…” she huffed out as we fell on the bed. My arms were still around her waist and she looked at me like I was crazy. To be honest I felt like I was going crazy. I’ve never felt this way before.

“We’ll I don’t really care. So tell me what happened?” she said with a straight face. I tried kissing her, I really didn’t have the energy for this right now. But she didn’t budge.

I sighed. She wasn’t letting this go. “She wasn’t really sound of mind when my men found her. That’s one of the reasons she was still in the hospital. When we went in today she was constantly muttering something under her breath. We couldn’t figure all of it out. But she looked scared. Seeing Vik made her calm for a little while. She said that she was sorry and once she started having feeling for Vik she tried fighting back to her father but he held something over her head so she couldn’t fight against him. So for years she kept feeding him information.” I clenched my fists together. I can’t believe I was so nonchalant to send her to keep Daleyza and Aiden safe.

“Uhuh and…”

“She jumped out of her bed grabbed my gun and shot herself in the head. There wasn’t anything we could do.”

“Why would you take your gun…”

“I have to sweetheart. I need to be prepared for everything.”

“You knew she wasn’t mentally stable.”

“It’s not like I planned it.” I rolled my eyes.

“So what now?”

“I’m still looking for two of the five traitors that managed to escape. In the hopes they will lead me to the bastard. I have a feeling he won’t stop so easily, even if Mateo and I have called a truce.” She felt me cringe as I said that because her eyes shot up to mine, but she didn’t say anything.

We stayed in that position for a while in silence. My hands automatically traced circles on Daleyza’s skin. I felt her shudder and after a few moments she sat up. She looked like an angel. Not the innocent kind. Like the ones capable of mass destruction… beautiful destruction. She had a look of hunger in her eyes and a wicked smile on her lips. I look I came to enjoy very much. She leaned down and initiated a kiss. Her soft lips against mine as her hands tugged my shirt off. Her hair teased my skin. My nails dug into her hips as I tried to steady her. She moaned against my lips and probably felt my reaction to it as I heard her gasp right after. I traced her hips with my fingers and was about to take her shirt off when someone knocked on the door. Both our heads snapped into that direction.

“Ignore it…” I mumbled as I placed kisses on her jaw.

The person on the other side knocked again. I sighed standing up and went to the door. Yanking the door open I glared to the person on the other side. My expression changed when I saw Vik struggling with the baby. His eyes took in my appearance and something changed in his look.

“I’m sorry man but…” I gave him a pointed look and closed the door. Turning around I see Daleyza getting up from the bed.

“Who was it?”

“Vik…”

“And you slammed the door in his face?” I just shrugged.

“You can be a moron sometimes you know…” she sighed and left the room. What the hell was wrong with her now?

As I took a seat on the bed my phone rang. I answered with an annoyed tone.

“We have eyes on them boss. How do you want us to proceed?” I heard JJ’s voice from the other side of the line.

“Keep track of them… discreetly. I want information of every minute. And you will report to me when they meet with Peter.” It’s better to track their movements then to end them. I hadn’t realized I fell asleep till I opened my eyes the next morning in a cold bed alone. Stretching out I slowly got up and went into the bathroom. When I exited the closet I saw Daleyza walking in half asleep.

“Where were you last night?”

“I fell asleep in Aiden’s room.” she yawned and climbed into bed. Letting her sleep I went downstairs. I didn’t have to go out today. Everything seemed to be running smoothly. I was waiting for JJ’s message when the traitors go meet up with Peter. Not having much to do I head up to the gym. After training for a while I got bored of that and went to get some lunch. I walked in on Daleyza sitting cross-legged on the kitchen counter top eating something... that should be considered illegal.
