Chapter 8

“Daniel. Wake up!” I sat on the bed and started shaking him.

“Mia! Mia it’s only 6. Leave me alone” he groaned grabbing the pillow and putting it over his head.

“Fine” I mumbled and walked out of the room.

I walked downstairs to the kitchen to see mom grabbing a water bottle.

“Morning Mia. You’re early. You going for a jog?” She asked just as the door opened. I turned around to see Tyler walking in.

“Oh sorry” he said and mom shook her head

“It’s okay Tyler. You guys go ahead. I’ll be upstairs in my room” she smiled and walked out of the kitchen.

“Are you jogging?” He asked and I nodded

I followed him outside and he turned around looking at me.

“First one to the end of the forest?” He smirked and I rolled my eyes

“That’s not fair. You’re a vampire, so you have super speed” I mumbled and he sighed

“Fine” he started jogging away.

I put my head phones in, and listened to Thinking out loud by Ed Sheeran.

I started jogging around the castle for about 20 minutes.

As soon as I stopped outside the door someone touched my shoulder.

I turned around and punched the person on the face.

“Ugh” I heard Tyler’s voice. My earphones had fallen off.

“What the fuck Tyler!” I exclaimed punching him in the shoulder

“Mia” he tried to grab my hand but I punched him on his chest a few times.

“Don’t scare me!” I shouted and he put his hands up

“Woah. Sorry” he stepped back.

“I didn’t know you were going to get scared” he sighed

“I-I don’t” I whispered and walked inside the kitchen to see mom making pancakes

“Why did you shout at him?” She asked stopping me from walking upstairs

“You heard it mom” I turned and looked at her.

“I know Mia. But he doesn’t know. Look Mia, whatever you do, don’t get Tyler angry” mom mumbled

“Mom! You shouldn’t have told me. You know I want to do it now” I groaned sitting down on the stool

“Mia. Please” she sighed and I nodded

“I’ll try. I’m going to go have a shower” I muttered standing up

After having a shower, and getting dressed(outfit on side) I walked downstairs to the living room to see Daniel and dad talking.

“What’s going in here?” I asked sitting down on the sofa, next to Daniel and he put an arm around me.

“Just telling him, his limits in front of me, with you” dad stared at Daniel’s hand, and he removed it.

“Really dad? I know everything you did to mom” I raised my eyebrow and he grumbled something under his breath.

“What did you say?” I asked smirking

“I was stupid. Emily, look at our daughter” he exclaimed and walked out the room, after narrowing his eyes at me.

“Hey babe” Daniel kissed me on the cheek.

“What are you up too?” I asked laying my head on his chest as he wrapped an arm around me

“Nothing. Just getting ready to join this pack” he smirked at me

“So you’re okay with not being an Alpha? I know it’s really hard for Alpha’s to hand down their tittle?” I asked and he shrugged

“It’s no big deal. Your dad did say to meet him in the back yard. Shall we go?” He asked standing up

I just nodded and stood up, then followed him outside. The back yard was full.

I walked up the stairs, to the stage, with Daniel behind me, and towards dad.

“You ready?” He asked and Daniel nodded.

“The Black Crystal Pack, on stage please” dad announced, and the whole pack walked on to the stage, in a line.

I moved back, and sat on a chair, next to mom and Tyler.

“Are you not going?” I asked Tyler

“I already did him before” mom said to me and I nodded

“Okay?” I mumbled to myself, as I watched dad cut their palm a little and join it together, with his while muttering some words.

“Mia?” Mom called and I looked at her

“Hmm” I raised my eyebrow

“You know your birthday is in a week right?-”

“And I’ll have to take the tittle from you and become the queen, yes mom I know” I sighed

“You are ready right?” She asked

“Kind of” I whispered looking at everyone as they bowed down to dad.

“Someday all this will be yours, this whole place will be yours” mom said and I nodded

“I know” I mumbled as Daniel walked towards me.

“Do you want to show me around?” He asked and I nodded

I walked off the stage with him, as mom and Tyler walked inside. It was becoming a little dark now.

“Why are you so quiet?” Daniel asked wrapping an arm around me, and pulling me closer to him

“My birthday is next week, and I will have to become the queen” I sighed and he stopped walking, and looked at me.

“So why are you upset? You should be happy Mia!” He exclaimed

“But Daniel, all this is going to be mine, and I can’t look after everyone. I see mom, in the office with dad all the time. She hardly comes out. I don’t want that. Plus mom is a vampire and has powers, but me? I’m nothing” I explained to him

“You’re not nothing Mia. You are something. You’re the most beautiful person in this world. You’re so perfect. You are not nothing Mia. You are something, you’re everything to me” he held my hand and looked at me.

“Thanks” I smiled and he pecked me on the lips.

“Let’s go inside, because tomorrow I want to take you out on a date” he interwined our fingers together

“A date? Again?” I asked and he nodded

“Yep. I’ll take you on a hundre-”

“No!” I exclaimed

“Why? You don’t like me?” He stopped walking

“I do like you Daniel. Your sweet and kind, but all you do is think about me. Just because we’re mates, doesn’t mean that you have to be around me all the time” I explained and he smirked

“So you like me?” He walked closer to me.

“Yes”

“Good because I love you” he walked towards me and I stepped back

“You love me?”

“Yep” I opened the back door and ran inside

“Why do you run away from me Mia!” I heard him shout as I ran upstairs.

Just as I ran to my floor,I heard a bang in Tyler’s room. I walked towards his room, just as someone grabbed my hand.

“Don’t Mia” Daniel pulled me back, as I heard something break.

“What why! Daniel-” I heard another bang, and growling

I pushed Daniel away and opened his door to see a big midnight blue wolf.

“Oh shit!” Daniel muttered and ran back downstairs

“Tyler!” I looked around and the wolf growled at me.

Tyler is a vampire, so he can’t shift into a wolf I thought as the wolf walked closer to me, slowly.

“Stop!” I shouted and he growled lowly.

“So you don’t like orders” I mumbled to myself, as mom and dad ran upstairs with Daniel behind them.

“Daniel, you leave” mom ordered using her luna voice, and he walked downstairs

“Don’t worry Mia” dad said standing infront of me and the wolf growled angrily.

“Step out of the way Alec” mom mumbled as the wolf kept growling.

“Emily!” Alec exclaimed as the wolf got ready to attack. He put his tail up, and lowered the front of his body.

“Dad!” I shouted and pushed him away. The wolf, looked at me, and walked closer.

“Stop!” Mom stood in front of me and the wolf stopped.

“Who is that?” I whispered to mom and the wolf looked straight into my eyes

“Tyler” mom smiled slightly at the wolf, and he looked down, and whined.

“It’s okay Tyler. Go back inside your room. I’ll lock the door” mom said but Tyler looked up at me.

“Mia walk closer to him” mom said and dad held my hand tightly

“No Emily. I’m not going to let her go there, when he’s angry” dad shouted

“Alec!” Mom exclaimed, and I knew she was upset, that dad shouted at her.

While mom and dad were arguing, Tyler walked out slowly, and towards me.

He was 6 foot tall,or maybe high.

“Don’t” dad stood infront of me.

“He’s not going to go inside, unless Mia touches him” mom said

“How do you know this Emily. What about the whole no secret thing between us?” Dad asked

“Please Alec! I promise I’ll tell you when it’s the right time. Mia I order you to touch him!” Mom used her queen voice on me. It was so powerful that, I had to lower my head.

Dad didn’t have to do it,because dad is technically the king.

I put my hand forward, and touched Tyler slowly. When my hand made contact with his head, Tyler ran back inside his room and mom closed the door behind him.

“I’m sor-” dad walked away before mom could finish.

“Don’t tell anyone what happe-”

“Tyler is a hybrid!” I exclaimed shocked.

“No!” Mom shouted

“Sorry” I mumbled lowering my head.

“I’m sorry too Mia. It’s just that Tyler is, a different type of person. Just leave him alone okay Mia?” She said and I nodded

“I’ll be in my room” I whispered and walked to my room,closed the door behind me.
