-Mage Academy of Crystalpeak-

As Rosche made her way toward the elemental chamber, her heart was filled with anticipation. Exploring ancient artifacts and learning from the masters always sparked her curiosity. However, her journey took an unexpected turn when a piercing scream shattered the tranquility of the academy. Unable to resist, she furrowed her brows and followed the source of the commotion.

With cautious steps, Rosche ventured into a courtyard surrounded by a wrought iron fence. A disheartening scene unfolded before her eyes—a group of student mages, their faces twisted with malicious glee, encircled a young man who stood defenseless. Each one wielded their magical abilities, shaping the elements to torment him.

One of the mages sneered, “What’s the matter, orphan? Can’t conjure up a family, can you?” With a wave of his hand, he summoned an illusory image of a fragmented family that taunted the young man.

The young man, his eyes filled with a mix of fear and anger, said little, enduring the taunts.

Another mage summoned an electric charge, crackling with power, ready to strike the young man. The air sizzled with energy as the mage raised his hand. A surge of electricity cascaded from his fingertips, arcing menacingly toward the young man, who made no effort to stop it.

But before the electrical bolt could strike, Rosche, swift and determined, stepped forward, drawing her gleaming sword with a flourish. She swung the blade with expert precision, intercepting the lightning. The sword absorbed the electrical charge, its blade shimmering as it dispersed the energy harmlessly into the air.

The bully, his face a mix of anger and frustration, sneered, “You again?!” In response, he attempted to conjure an orb of shadow magic, casting it toward the young man. The shadows writhed and twisted, seeking to envelop him.

Undeterred, Rosche raised her sword in a defensive stance, blocking the dark magic with her weapon. The shadows hissed and recoiled from the sword’s radiant steel, unable to advance further.

The courtyard seemed on the brink of becoming a stage for another confrontation when Master Eldric, a senior mage and respected figure, appeared. With a stern voice, he employed his authority, demanding, “Enough!”

The bullies, taken aback by Master Eldric’s presence, reluctantly lowered their magical defenses. They exchanged uneasy glances.

Master Eldric, known for his wisdom and fairness, addressed them sternly, “This kind of behavior has no place in our academy. You will apologize to this young man, now.”

The bullies, their expressions chastened, mumbled their apologies to the young man they had bullied. “We’re sorry,” one of them mumbled, “We went too far.” S~ᴇaʀᴄh the FindNøvᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Master Eldric, with a commanding tone, turned to Rosche and said, “Roshe, bring the young man to the infirmary. Make sure he receives the care he needs.”

Rosche nodded and proceeded to guide the young man to the infirmary, leaving Master Eldric behind with the bullies who now stood with their heads lowered. Master Eldric intended to teach them a valuable lesson about the consequences of their actions and the importance of empathy and kindness within the academy.
