"You might not feel anything for him, but he's certainly interested in you."

"Jonah, what's that nonsense?" She glowered at him.

He smiled and added, "We are aware of Sean's feelings for you."

"We?"

"Yeah, including Mandy. She brought up the issue with me a few days ago because she felt too awkward talking to you about it."

Alyssa was a little exasperated after learning that everyone knew about Sean's one-sided love.

That was rather embarrassing.

"Mandy is worried about how his personal feelings might affect you. You are with him all day and live Alyssa's hand.

Mandy was extra cautious with the men around Alyssa because she saw her as a daughter, which Alyssa understood as well.

Mandy was worried that Sean might cross the line and take advantage of Alyssa when the two were together.

"I believe in Sean's character. He's not that type of guy. Still, I need to check in with you because you sent

him on leave out of the blue," said Jonah with concern.

"I gave him a chance to reflect on his actions," Alyssa replied, growing serious.

She saw no need to hide the truth from Jonah and continued, "I could sense his feelings for me, so I sent him on vacation to sort out his emotions. It also serves as a warning. I can't have him by my side if he can't let go of his feelings."

Jonah frowned and asked, "Are you going to let him go just like that?"

"It's for his own good." She sighed in frustration. "I'm not planning to date anymore, so he has no chance. at all. He'll only suffer when he works alongside me with expectations. He would only be disappointed later.
