"I have moved on," Alyssa replied without thinking and hugged Rose back.

She continued, "If I don't move forward after the divorce, what does that say about me? For 13 years, I didn't treat myself right because of him. But now that I've left him, I won't make the same mistake again. It's time to focus on the future."

Rose sighed, her eyes misty as she could see the pain in Alyssa's heart from the way Jasper had treated her. Healing would be a long, arduous journey.

"Exactly! We must look ahead to the future. A smart woman does not blindly fall in love!" Rose concurred and patted Alyssa on the shoulder.

She playfully chirped, "Madam, let's have a feast tonight and enjoy some good wine. I think I'll find your tragic love story quite entertaining."

"Oh, my love life is a complete mess. I can't even bear to recount it," Alyssa replied with a smile and lifted her chin. "And you, Rose? You're always swooning over attractive men. Any new romances to share?" Rose scoffed, "What romance can I have? I spend my days designing clothes. I suppose I'm dedicating my life to my work.

"Hot guys are cool, but they're nothing more than eye candy. The models and idols that I was interested in didn't last a few days of dating. They started asking for luxury watches or sports cars. I might be thirsty, but I'm not naive!"

Alyssa guffawed at Rose's remark and chimed in, "Looks like you and I both attract the wrong kind of men! Don't worry, Rose. I won't let you walk down my path. If you want to date, I'll introduce a few guys to you."

"A few guys? I thought you were busy. How did you meet them?"

"Oh, I have plenty of connections by birthright," Alyssa quipped, patting her chest proudly. "My brothers—Jonah, Silas, Liam, Axel, and Cyrus-are all still single. I'll prepare their résumés for you. If any of them catches your interest, I'll set up a date."

Rose was dumbfounded by Alyssa's offer and joked, "With the way you rattled off your brothers' names, people might think you're introducing male escorts to me."

Alyssa winked at her and claimed, "Trust me, my brothers are better. Hm, how about I introduce you to Silas, my second brother? He's even more attractive than any escort. Besides, he's a great conversationalist and a sweet talker. He'll entertain you far better than any escort could."

"Is that so? What does he do?" Rose's eyes sparkled at the mention of hot guys.

"He's a prosecutor," Alyssa revealed.

Rose was shocked. "Well, thanks, but no thanks."

Jasper stumbled out of the villa, still lost in the memory of the passionate kiss he had shared with Alyssa.

Xavier, who was shivering in the cold, quickly approached Jasper and called out, "Mr. Beckett!"

Upon closer look, he noticed that Jasper's eyes were glistening, and his cheeks had a rosy hue. Jasper's lips were still moist.

Xavier blushed at the sight of his boss. Jasper looked like he had gotten some action. He stammered, "M-Mr. Beckett, your face looks-"

"Oh, this?" Jasper replied. "Alyssa slapped me across the face." He touched his cheek and squinted.

"Huh? Why would she do that?" Xavier looked puzzled.

Jasper's heart raced as he remembered how Alyssa had almost melted in his arms during their kiss. He grinned and answered, "Well, it's because she cares about me."
