Chapter 130

The new message came from Rory.

Rory was the captain in the training that Finley had attended. Finley respected and admired him at

lot.

That training was the cruelest one in the world.

The trainees would either die or survive this training. Those survivors would become the elites in

different industries.

Finley and Rory belonged to the latter.

Rory was only ten years older than Finley. He was the most composed member in that training.

That training ended one year ago.

Then, the survivors got back to their fields and led different lives. They seldom contacted each

other.

Therefore, Finley was surprised to receive a message from Rory.

Her heart beat fast for that message.

"Finley, Gates isn't dead. He's still alive."

Finley checked the message.

Finley clutched her phone, and tears welled up in her eyes.

Gates was still alive. He was not dead! He was still alive!

That man had once fought alongside Finley. He was the most powerful king on the battlefield.

He was still alive!

How exciting!

One year ago, Finley went to the border under the excuse of joining a summer camp. Then, she joined the terrible training without hesitation.

In that training, Finley got to know Gates, a man of few words but justicial and brave.

In the last battle, the trainees were facing a trial of life and death.

Gates protected Finley all the way to survive that trial.

He said, "Finley, my life is not important. If you can get out of here alive, enjoy the sunshine outside

for me."

Gates grew up with wolves. He had never left the border city and didn't know where the capital was.

His eyes were always as bright as the stars in the sky.

Finley felt it sad to reminisce the past.

Those remains, the smell of blood, and the storm...

Finley instantly called Rory.

However, Rory did not answer the phone.

Rory sent a message over. "I'm taking care of my child. He was crying, so I couldn't answer your call. I know your question. I got this information from my network. I am not sure if it is true or not. I think he will come to see you if he is still alive. However, one year has passed." "Rory, I believe he is still alive. He won't die easily? He is my idol."

Finley held back her tears and replied to Rory with a smile.

"Hope is a good thing. How have you been recently?"

"Well, very good. What about you? You have a child, don't you?" Finley asked.

"You guys always made fun of me for not being able to get a wife. Look! I have children now, not to mention a wife!"

"Haha, congratulations!"

Finley said goodbye to Rory after exchanging a few pleasantries.

With the phone in her hand, Finley did not log off. She was waiting for a message from Gates. Perhaps, Gates would send a message over one day. "Finley, I'm back."

When would that day come?

The only thing Finley could do now was to wait patiently.

Finley waited for Gates, who reappeared like a hero.

Finley was in a good mood today. Before the classes were over, she sent a message to Bryan. "Bryan, let's watch a movie tonight."

Right then, Bryan was at a meeting about the new perfume which would be put on the market soon. Bryan read the message, put down the financial statement in his hand, and said to his subordinates, "Time to go home. Have a good rest at home tonight."
