In the beginning, before the world was born, there was Ereb, and he was Chaos and he was all alone.

Then there was she. She came out of chaos, darkness, and nothing. Brilliant and golden Shinehah rose from the darkness and brought the sun. Her light shone warm and brilliantly within the darkness surrounding her, but it was not enough to drive it away.

Something stirred again, and from the darkness rose Olea, bringing the moon, white and cold. Her light was softer, and yet it fiercely drove away the darkness surrounding her. Still it was not enough. Still the chaos raged on, unbound. S~ᴇaʀᴄh the Find_Nøvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Then came Kokob, bringing the stars and their pure silver light cut holes into the chaos, finally driving it away.

And Ereb fled before the light, but he smiled, for he was no longer alone.

The Three stood there, in their light, surrounded by chaos, one more brilliant than the other. They were all similar in likeness, all tall and fair, with long robes of gold, white and silver. But it was their faces that separated them.

Shinehah had the face of a woman who has seen the world and learned from it. Her eyes were soft and gentle, full of wisdom. Her hair like spun gold.

Olea had a beautiful yet fierce face, like a woman who’s seen the world and grown hard from it. Her hair was a pure shining white, her eyes the color of a frozen lake, glinting with intelligence and magic.

Kokob had the face of a little girl who sees the world for the first time, and, therefore, loves all the wonders it can hold. She wore a dreamy expression, her night sky eyes slightly closed, her soft silver locks falling loosely over her shoulder.

Then they created the world.

They joined their hands in a circle and closed their eyes. It was Kokob who spoke first, her voice soft and far away, as if she were dreaming. “Eretz”, and from the circle rose Eretz, and with him the earth, solid and firm. He was tall with broad shoulders, his skin dark like fresh dirt, his eyes the color of desert sand, not a hair on his head. He joined the circle, between Kokob and Oleah and closed his eyes.

Olea spoke next, her voice cold and firm: “ Mayim”, and from the circle rose Mayim, soft and as she rose the earth was covered in blue water. She too was tall, with an elegant flowing grace, her dark hair flowing like rapids in a river, her eyes the deep green of the sea. She too joined the circle and closed her eyes.

Finally, Shineha spoke, her voice gentle and clear: “ Shemayim”, and with a gust of wind Shemayim rose from the circle, soft as a breeze, surrounding the earth with her breath. She was soft, gentle, barely more than a whisper, and yet she surrounded them all with her gentle touch. Her white hair caressed her face like clouds, and her eyes were the color of a clear sky. She gently drifted into the circle.

The six stood there, smiling at what they had created, when suddenly Shinehah stirred, a puzzled expression on her face, and turned towards the sun. And from the center of the sun emerged Esh, uncalled and unbidden, leaving a trail of fire in his wake. He was tall and lean, with red hair blazing around his head, and eyes the color of burning gold. He too joined the circle and thus were created the Seven, the Gods of the Earth.
