Ellie

I drove back as fast as I could, I wanted to just leave with Louis, but I had the whole wedding ceremony for my parents. I arrived at Pack House and went straight to the front, where we had organized a stage and where a member of the Council would give them the blessing, my father was already at the altar, and my mother was about to enter when I arrived halfway breathless.

"Ellie, where were you?" My mother asked with wide eyes, behind her was Jaque and Janeth adjusting her dress, and Jaque looked directly at me with wide eyes.

I didn't know what to say, but I had the bouquet of flowers that Louis brought for me.

"I came to get you this." I handed it to my mother who smiled broadly.

"Ellie, thank you, I forgot about the bouquet." She took the bouquet and took the opportunity to enter with it.

There were 6 days left until the Moon Ball, and I had never been so nervous, not even when it was my first Ball and I swore I would meet my mate.

"I'm nervous about the Ball, I think it's today that I'll meet my mate." I responded with a shrug, trying to sound as convincing as possible.

We finished dinner early, and I ran to my room to get ready, Jaque came right after and we were both nervous, but for different reasons. I wanted to find Louis soon, and she wanted to find her partner, it was her second Ball, and Jaque thought that this time she would find her predestined one.

But I was looking forward to seeing Louis, and I hoped everything would go well with this crazy plan of mine.

I got ready as quickly as I could, at the same time I wanted to look as beautiful as possible for him. I put on my green dress, and my hands were shaking so much that Jaque who did my eyeliner, I finished getting ready, grabbed my mask and used the commotion at Pack House with the organization of the Ball to sneak out again.
