Summary
Alliss only wants a cure for her sick father. But when the dragon's egg he was hiding hatches, she gets a whole lot of trouble besides.
With her best friend, Alliss embarks on a perilous journey to the capital to sell the creature to the Muirland Mages in exchange for a cure.
But it's not only the young dragon who is manifesting unpredictable magic. When Alliss begins to show signs of magic, she realises she's in danger. If the mages catch her, she faces the death penalty.
Alliss must be braver than she knows to embrace her magic and save both herself and the endangered dragons from the savage mages..
