Claws and Kisses

"You're not safe here," he said, voice deadly serious. "You're not safe with me." Despite the situation, I found myself scoffing. "When has a human ever been safe with a dragon?" Seven-year-old Wendy saves a young dragon from the brink of death, earning his curiosity and attention in the process. As war wages and the dragons gain control of the land, Wendy grows up with her newfound friend, Avel. After tragedy strikes, however, Wendy and her brother decide to leave home and Wendy's childhood friend. Eight years later, dragons once again threaten Wendy's life. She is forced to travel back to Avel's horde when she learns her brother has been taken and enslaved. Only, when she returns to her homeland, things are not as they once were. The young dragon boy she grew up with has grown up too, and is now more arrogant and powerful than ever.
