Dex grabbed his head, he was stood in the kitchen of his and Roisin's apartment, confused. He looked towards the living room, this wasn't right. Jasmine wasn't real. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't recall any memories of her. He panicked, he had to warn Roisin, this had to be a trap. He ran toward the living room, but as he crossed the threshold, he vanished into thin air, leaving Roisin alone with Jasmine. Roisin looked over towards the window, a memory kept resurfacing in the back of her mind, of blood covered snow. A knock on the door jolted her out of her daydream.

"Who's that?" Jasmine asked. Roisin looked confused, and headed over to the door, when she opened it, Rychard Pyre slouched against the opposite wall, covered in blood.

"They're trying to trick you, Roisin" Rychard coughed. Roisin raised her eyebrow.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"You have to resist, Roisin. Remember who you are" Rychard grunted as he got to his feet.

"Who... I am?" Roisin asked, as the memory of the blood covered snow gave her another headache. Before she could muster up the strength to ask more, police burst out of a nearby room and grabbed Rychard. One of the officers turned to Roisin.

"Please close your door for your own safety, ma'am while we deal with this criminal" The police man barked. Roisin nodded, and went to close her apartment door, but Rychard struggled free momentarily, with all his strength, he managed to shout something that stirred Roisin's memory.

"REMEMBER PYRE ACADEMY" Rychard roared, before the police wrestled him into a nearby lift. The words Pyre Academy suddenly opened the flood gates in Roisin's mind, and the apartment began to dissolve away around her as she found herself in the Fire Temple, below Pyre Academy.

The room brought back so many painful memories, as Roisin recalled the pain of absorbing the fire crystal against her will, the feeling of flames running through every vein in her body. The sight of Dex being murdered before her eyes that had destroyed all hope that she had ever had.

The fire temple slowly burned away, as Roisin now found herself in the middle of the forest, next to the body of Hazel. Roisin backed away in shock, as she recalled that she had been the one to kill Hazel.

"No... I couldn't... I didn't" Roisin panicked, as she fell backwards. Jasmine approached in the snow.

"Is this the reality that you want?" Jasmine asked, no longer sounding like the little girl she appeared as, behind her, was Ruby, the dragonet.

"Roisin, this might not be perfect, but it is reality, to deny it is to deny yourself..." Ruby began, before pausing for a moment. "To deny me" She added.

"Which will it be, Mum?" Jasmine asked. Roisin shook her head and got to her feet.

"This is some kind of dream world, correct?" Roisin asked, as the cold wind howled around her.

"Yes, that is correct, to lull mankind into while the reality is harvested. This dream exists to make the harvest painless. To deny this dream, is to choose the hard option." Jasmine explained. Roisin nodded and frowned.

"I've never been the one to choose the easy option" Roisin smirked, as her eyes flashed red.

Jasmine nodded.

"You have chosen reality then?" Jasmine asked.

"I will, now, and evermore" Roisin said.

"Then... you deny me?" Jasmine asked.

"Don't listen to her, Roisin, she was created to trick you, to exploit your weaknesses" Ruby warned. Jasmine held her hand out, Roisin nodded and took Jasmine's hand, as their hands touched, Jasmine was engulfed in light.

"Ruby will look over you now, Mother" Jasmine smiled. Roisin nodded back with a warm smile.

"Now let's turn this dream on our captors" Roisin grinned. Ruby cheered as she hugged Roisin, the environment around the slowly changed, finding herself in the dream version of the Council Chambers, with almost everybody else.

In the chambers, Ruby appeared in her human form, and waved at Roisin.

"About time you showed up" Syl hugged Roisin.

"Now we just need for Keegan to snap out of it..." Ruby nodded.

"I believe in him" Atlas smiled. "He's a strong kid" He nodded.

Across the vast dream, Keegan found himself sat in the throne, of Aranei's Imperial Palace, clad in dark armour, his memories of the past locked away.
