Immediately I get off the phone with Wane I look at Astridah, she is tied to the bed on both hands and legs. Her sides are bleeding and she is begging me to let her go but that is nothing compared to what I am feeling right now.

‘I said I am sorry and it won’t repeat itself.’ She begs, the white sheet on which she is laying on is stained with blood but that doesn’t at all move me.

‘How many times have I warned you against making friends?’

‘I am sorry, it won’t repeat itself.’

I shake my head, that is the mistake that she makes all the time. I don’t need her to be sorry, I want her to be true and honest come what may.

‘I just thought because she is your sister’s friend then you would be okay with me being her friend.’

I move to the bed and sit next to her and then grabbing her waist and squeezing tight so as to hurt the bruising sides.

‘Besa please.’ She begs

‘Out!’ I say losing it

He looks at me one last time before walking out, I am very mad. When I had gone to visit him it was in the hopes that he would change his mind and come back to us but it looks like he will always be the fool that I know him to be.

I go to my secret room, no one knows about this place except the brotherhood and Caleb himself. We all have one in our houses and the rule is to put it in a place where no one can suspect. Mine is in the living room, in the bar lounge there is a door that I made sure to make as invisible as possible. I take off my shoes at the entrance and light a candle, the room is white, with a white carpet and mini alter that is holding a mirror. The mirror is used to transfer us to the other realm.

I start enchanting some things before the mirror opens and there our god Suli sits on the throne and I can see the rest of our cult in different parts of the world.

‘We have a pressing issue at hand.’ Suli begins, I see there are no pleasantries so this must really be urgent.

‘Samuel from Ghana just had a baby, we need to attend the initiation ceremony of the child into the cult.’

We all bow down in agreement

‘Besa how is the assignment coming up?’

‘I am working on it.’

‘You know the repercussions of being slow, your businesses will start getting affected and only until you fulfil the assignment will everything stabilise.’

‘I know daddy.’ I say bowing down after that

I smile, now I have a task to get Wane pregnant as soon as possible.
