I was hoping to get answers but no one has done that, they all walk out of the house at the speed of lightening - metaphorically speaking. I catch up with them and they are still walking really fast and none of them is talking to the other.

We continue to walk and I can feel the air changing, it was cool when we left the house but all of a sudden it is beginning to feel chilly. Everything else around us is changing and before I know it we are stepping in water.

‘Oh Lord.’ I say stopping to walk

They continue to walk a few more steps until they get to a point where the water is reaching their waists.

I am scared, it’s like everything is just hitting me now. God knows I didn’t see my life going in this direction, like how is it even possible to just wake up one day and then life go south? Yes I slept with O’Brien and it was wrong but I don’t deserve any of the things that is happening to me.

The lady who is supposed be Astridah turns towards the setting sun soon and strips of her clothes, Naomi and Curtis do the same.

She opens her mouth and starts chanting some things, more like calling upon strange people to come to their aid as the battle line has been crossed. All the while I look on with both fear and shock.

It has been three days from the time Wane disappeared from the hospital, I got a call from Claudia telling me she had passed out at that office and was rushed to the hospital but upon getting there I found her brother talking to a police officer. He told me she had run away and when we retried security footage the last image was of him leaving the ward and nothing shows after that.

I sigh deeply, looking into thin air and worried sick about her whereabouts.

Claudia walks into the study her eyes red and puffy.

‘You have been crying again.’ I say looking at her

‘I was mean to her daddy, just what if this is punishment for what I did?’

‘It is not your fault what has happened to her, it is no one’s fault and best believe that she will be found eventually.’

She nods her head, I can see that even though I have told her these words she still doesn’t believe me. I don’t believe my words either but at this point we both need to hold on to the little faith that is remaining.

Besa walks into the room, he has been up and about trying to find her too.

‘Can I talk to dad alone?’ He asks looking at his little sister

‘Sure.’ I respond

I kiss Claudia on the cheek before letting her go.

The door to fit study closes and I go back to my seat.

‘Yes son, you wanted to see me?’

‘I will be going away for a few days, I need to find her.’

‘Okay.’ I respond even though all this is a bit strange

‘Do you have any leads? Is her brother going with you?’

‘No, but I will turn this country up and down if I have to.’

I nod my head

I have been very careful in dealing with Besa because I know his dark side, a side that he has been trying so hard to hide but he is my child and there is nothing that he can hide from me.

‘Can I ask you something.’

‘What if she is running away because she doesn’t want to be with you?’

For a second that beast in him is unleashed but he quickly hides it

‘That is not possible, I know she wants me. I know we will be very happy.’ He says even though in the depth of my heart I know whose son she is carrying and Yakari is so great and meant to fight evil but the very thought scares me knowing which side my child is on.

‘Do me a favor.’

‘Yes?’

‘Make sure when you find her and she tells you she doesn’t want to be with you, it will be the end of this nonsense.’

He shrugs his shoulders

‘Besa.’

‘I promise you, but best believe she wants me.’

I don’t respond to that instead watch as he walks out of the study.

I turn around and face the queen of the ocean, she has been calling me.

‘Yes?’

‘War is coming, we were warned against this.’ She says

I look at Wane who looks scared out of her wits, I know she is safe but war is coming and I am scared for her.

‘Keep her and Yakari safe, you know the importance of the Prince.’

‘I know.’ She says bowing down
