Besa

I am about to lose my mind and sadly daddy hasn’t been doing much to come to my rescue and that is why I have been anxiously waiting for this emergency meeting he called for.

I walk into my secret place, remove my shoes and clothes and wait for the door to the other side to open. When it does I notice some of my brothers are already there and honestly I can’t help but get shocked that Caleb is here too.

‘Hello brother.’ I say sarcastically

‘Hello Besa.’ He responds instead

There is a smirk on my face and I wish he could get exactly what I am thinking about right now.

I am about to respond when daddy walks in, we all bow our heads down until he takes the throne after which we all sit down at the table.

‘I called all of you here because we have an issue at hand and it’s best dealt with now.’ He begins in his authoritative voice

‘But before I can go on I would like to welcome Caleb back into the house, welcome back son.’ He says

‘Thank you daddy.’

Caleb was daddy’s favourite, he never said this directly or to our faces but we all knew. Maybe it’s because of his courage to make the sacrifices he made at a young age that made him outstanding.

Daddy smiles.

‘Besa I gave you an assignment, how is that going?’

I look down, I hate feeling like a failure.

‘I am still working on it daddy.’

He breaths out fire and it directly comes to my face.

‘Daddy she must be pregnant for the other world, she has powers now.’

Caleb raises an eyebrow, I deliberately looked at him hoping he knows something.

‘Is that so?’ Daddy asks and just then we have an image of Wane

She is just from bathing and applying lotion in her room.

Daddy says something and she holds her tummy, I don’t know what he is doing but she continues to flinch in pain. Everyone has their eyes on the screen but my attention goes to Caleb, I don’t know how he is handling this knowing it’s his sister in question.

‘Son do you want to take it from here?’ He asks Caleb and he nods his head

He starts enchanting some things and in the spirit realm we all see Wane’s baby leaving her womb, the legs come out first. Caleb continues and with each passing second his sister cries out in pain as the baby continues to come out.

I have known pain in my life, but nothing like I am experiencing now. I was just from bathing and started applying lotion when I felt a sharp pain, at first I thought it was one of those pains from being pregnant but with each passing second the pain keeps getting worse.

The towel that I am wearing drops to the floor as the excruciating pain continues.

I hold my stomach a little tight and for a split second I can feel my child leaving me.

‘This is not happening.’ I say

I clear my head, if this is physical then I won’t see anything but nothing about this child is physical and i will deal with this the spiritual way.

The more my head clears the more the physical pain goes away, I can feel the heat hitting my face and I see my baby being taken away and I almost lose focus when I see in whose hands it is.

‘Let go of my child.’ I say looking in the eyes of Caleb, he looks shaken and losses focus but Besa takes up the enchanting and now my son is in between evil and good.

‘How did you get here?’ Caleb asks

‘Let go of my son.’ I say this time looking at Besa and totally ignoring Caleb

‘Bring him to me.’ The man on the throne says

I look into Besa’s eyes, i see the fire dying out the more I look at him and he is losing control of the baby because he is coming back to me.

‘Wane let go.’ Caleb says and with one look I strike him with a block of ice he drops to the ground

‘Young lady you have over stepped your boundaries!’ The man yells on his feet, fire coming out of his nostrils but I don’t blink.

‘You are the one over stepping your boundaries, you are the one trying to get my son!’ I say angrily as I push Yakari back to me

‘Wane I am warning you.’

I look at three of the men seated next to Caleb and strike them to the ground before focusing back to him.

‘You are not worthy to call me by name! And I will fight you with everything in me if that’s the last thing I do because my son is not a puppet, he is Yakari and a god that will ruin all of you! But before that it’s my duty to protect him and I will do that with everything in me!’ I say striking two more men again.

The man looks shaken but quickly shields it.

I don’t hesitate, I take Yakari and glance at them for a second before walking out of there.

I get to my room and pick up the towel from the floor and wrap it around my body, my hair is still gold and is longer than it usually is when it turns to this colour.

I hear a knock at the door.

‘Wane are you okay? I heard you screaming.’

‘I am fine.’ I say

‘Please come, I don’t feel okay. I am bleeding.’ She says

I quickly get into a dress and walk out of the bedroom, she is seated on the floor and looks like she is in so much pain. I can also see that her dress is stained with blood.

‘We need to get you to the hospital.’ I say helping her up and getting the car keys
