Alex’s POV

After we ate , both Lev and Jake went directly to bed. Sam and I played with the triplets and Ace because they woke up.

Time skip to dinner party.......

“Remind me , why is everyone in our room again ?” Lev asked

“Because you have the biggest one.” Will retorted

“Willow ! Be nice.” Mum warned

“Fine !” She sulked

Everyone was in their pjs.

Where the hell were the twins ?!

A knock answered my question.

“I’ll get it.” I shouted over the sound of the music which was blazing through the room.

I opened the door revealing the twins , uncle Xav and Aunt Maria.

“You guys came ! Come on in !” I beamed at them

Jake ! Take Dad outside for a minute. I don’t want things to end up in a fight.

Already on it.

I welcomed them inside and then headed for the balcony where Jake and Dad were waiting for me.

“Dad.” I breathed

“Alex baby girl. I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you. It’s just...... when he came back it brought back bad memories.” Dad sighed in frustration

“All these years , I thought he was dead. I was still mourning you know ? And when he came back that sadness turned to anger. I didn’t mean to react that way.” He continued

I went and hugged him.” Dad it’s okay. I mean he’s not even angry with you. And I understand how you feel.”

“Dad also we didn’t mention one teeny tiny detail.” Jake laughed nervously

“What ?”

“Um he’s here.” I said

“I’ve got to make things right.” Dad sighed

“Yeah , come on they must be waiting for us.” Jake urged us

“You’re just hungry , aren’t you ?” I accused

He just shrugged me off....

Jerk.

We went back inside. Uncle Xav was laughing with the others , but the minute he saw Dad , he stiffened.

“I just remembered something important. I’ll have to leave guys.” He said excusing himself

Then the most unbelievable thing happened.

Dad hugged him.

A sense of pride washes over me. I was proud that my father could overcome his rage and embrace his twin with joy.

“We need to talk.” Dad said

“Yeah we do. Let’s go outside.” He agreed

They both made their way outside.

“Well , that felt awkward.”

I looked over to who had spoken.

Jayden.

He was sitting with his godson , Ryder and eating ice cream. Right in front of my son.

“My dear brother , a why are you eating ice cream in front of my son ?” I asked through gritted teeth

I’m pretty sure he gave some of it to Ry.

“Well I wanted to spend quality time with my godson. But on the other hand I was starving. And the being the multitasker I am , I did both.” He smiled as if he had accomplished the goal of his life.

And now I’m not going to get any sleep......

“Jayden you are aware that ice cream has sugar ?” Jayden nodded” and sugar gives energy ?” He nodded again.” THEN WHY WOULD YOU GIVE HIM ICE CREAM?!” Lev and I both screamed at him.

Realisation spread on his face.

“Oh shi- LANGUAGE!- milkshakes , yeah Oh milkshakes !! I completely forgot. Sorry guys !” He apologised not at all looking sorry.

Asshole.

“Now we are gonna have a super excited baby who won’t let us sleep at night. Thanks a lot Jayden.” I said sarcastically

“Um Lex ? Jay ? Could you settle down ? Mia has written a song for you guys.” Bella called out

( again this song does not belong to me. I’m just using it for my story. The song is “ Like I’m gonna lose you” by Meghan Trainer and John Legend.)

Wow Mum wrote a song ? For us ? That’s so sweet...

“Alright guys. I haven’t sung in 18 years so I might be a bit rusty. Also this song isn’t new , I used to sing it to the twins when they were younger. But I slightly changed the lyrics.”Mum said nervously holding a guitar
