Chapter 31 Miss Francesca Is Back
“Francesca is simply despicable!”
In the Beckman villa, Miranda angrily threw her phone onto the couch, her face contorted in a mask of rage.
Back when I had feelings for Colton, she cut in and became Mrs. Zeller ahead of me. And now, I’ve finally drawn close to Yoel after expending much effort. How dare she try to steal my man away again?
At the side, Karen curled her lips. “I’ve told you long ago that you couldn’t rely on that girl, but you insisted on marrying her into the Zeller family. And what happened? She left the country without a word, and now that she’s back, she’s stirring up trouble as though afraid that others wouldn’t know about her past scandals!”
“That’s enough!” Chandler, the head of the family, barked coldly, interrupting the duo’s endless complaints.
He continued, “What’s the point of saying all this now? If you’re incapable of doing the same, go and persuade her to come home.”
Miranda’s eyes widened. “Have you lost your mind, Dad? I’d never do that!”
He wants me to go and persuade Francesca to come home? That’s impossible!
At the side, Karen likewise wore an awkward expression. “Exactly. Don’t forget how Francesca married into the Zeller family back then. How could she possibly come back when she’s now divorced from Colton and has gotten involved with Mr. Zabielski?”
In truth, she did not want to see Francesca. Every time she saw the latter, she would be reminded of Sasha Shelley. That irritated her to no end.

Seeing that both of them were still oblivious to the situation, Chandler slammed his hand heavily onto the table. “If you don’t want to do so, get out of here! Do you think the Beckman family is still its high and mighty self in the past?”
Ever since Francesca divorced Colton arbitrarily, the Zeller family had stopped supporting the Beekman family, On top of that, he had tried to visit Colton several times, only to be turned away at the door. Right then, the Beckman family was barely maintaining its basic operations. Any misstep could lead to utter bankruptcy,
With Francesca having gotten herself involved with the Zabielski family then, he would never let her go so easily.
He glared at Karen and Miranda with a dark look on his face. “If you still want to live a good life, go and coax Francesca home! Otherwise, you’ll soon be living on the streets!”
As soon as he had said that, the housekeeper rushed over and exclaimed, “Mr. Beckman, Ms. Francesca is back!”
The trio, who was arguing fiercely, promptly looked at each other in surprise. She’s back?
Francesca strolled into the living room, followed closely by Yoel, who wore a cold and dark expression.
Upon learning that she was going to the Beckman villa, Yoel shamelessly insisted on tagging along. Francesca tried to decline several times, but she eventually had no choice but to relent.
Anyway, he was the one who helped to uncover the truth about her past, so it did not matter that he wanted to witness the confrontation.
At the sight of the family of three, Francesca raised an eyebrow.

Chandler smiled kindly, “You’re finally back, Fran! It’s good that you’re back. I’m glad you’re home.”
He subtly gave Karen a look, upon which the latter quickly reacted, her eyes turning red immediately, “Why didn’t you come home when you suffered so much, child? Would we have harmed you?”
Miranda glanced at her dramatic parents before flashing Yoel a smile and greeting sweetly, “Yoel.”
“Those of the Beckman family sure know how to act.” Without even glancing at Miranda, Yoel casually sat down on a couch. “I have an entertainment company. You might want to consider making a debut. Your acting skills are much better than some of those young idols.”
As soon as he said that, the atmosphere that had been painstakingly built in the living room instantly vanished without a trace.
Francesca also smirked and looked around. “Where is my grandmother who fell seriously ill because she missed.me too much? I really want to see her.”
A look of embarrassment appeared on Chandler’s face. “Your
grandmother has already gone back to the countryside to recuperate. If you want to see her, I can bring her back tomorrow.”
Karen also stepped forward, making to hold Francesca’s hand. “You look like you’ve lost quite a bit of weight. Let me take a good look at you.”
Francesca nimbly dodged and looked at Karen coldly.
Seeing that, Miranda shouted, “What are you doing? Do you know how much Mom and Dad worried about you? Yet, this is how you treat them?”
“Mom? Dad?”

Francesca’s lips curled into a smile as though she had heard something amusing. “Are they really my mom and dad?”
Both Chandler and Karen’s expressions changed.
“What nonsense are you spouting? Are you forsaking your parents after having been away for five years? Or do you think you can dump your family after getting involved with the Zabielski family?” Chandler scolded loudly.
Karen tugged at Chandler’s arm, her voice choked. “She suffered back then, so it’s normal for her to feel upset and run her mouth now. Don’t take offense with her.“.
Chandler was still seething with anger, but at the very least, he did not say anything further.
At the sight of the couple putting on an act, the scorn in Francesca’s eyes intensified.
In the past, she had witnessed such a scene countless times. The two of them would go back and forth, forcing Francesca to do something she was unwilling to do before hypocritically consoling her after the fact.
Francesca felt sickened to the core.
She sneered, “I’ll ask this again–are you really my ‘biological‘ parents?”
Furious, Chandler snagged the ashtray on the table and smashed it to the ground, roaring, “What nonsense are you spouting?”
Yoel moved swiftly, his expression dark as he pulled Francesca aside. The thick glass shattered at their feet, shards flying in all directions.
Miranda, who had been watching from the sidelines, looked at Chandler in surprise. Wasn’t his reaction a bit too intense?

Karen was also startled. She quickly grabbed the man and reproved, “What are you doing? You almost hurt her.”

“I see that you’re now as stubborn as a mule!” Chandler angrily pushed Karen away. Jabbing a finger in Francesca’s face, he lambasted, “We raised you and sacrificed so much for you, yet you’re disowning your own parents over a momentary grievance!”
Karen stumbled slightly before finally she regained he balance by holding onto the sofa.
Upon hearing Chandler’s words, she burst into tears. “To think that I carried you in my womb for ten months back then-”
“You carried me in your womb?” Francesca, annoyed by the couple’s back- and–forth acting, interrupted Karen. “Are you acquainted with Sasha Shelley?”
As soon as those words rang out, the room immediately fell silent, and Karen’s face drained off all color.
Chandler fell silent for a moment before blowing his top. “Who’s Sasha? Who on earth told you such nonsense?”
Karen’s heart abruptly sank to rock bottom.
How could Francesca know about Sasha? How could she possibly know about her?
She forced a smile and said, “I don’t know her. Who is she? Your friend?”
Seeing that the couple was stubbornly refusing to admit anything, Francesca took a few photos out of her bag and flung them onto the table. They were pictures of Karen with a beautiful woman.
In the photos, the beautiful woman’s belly was bulging slightly, and a sweet smile adorned her face. Karen was carefully supporting her, her smile.
