Just as Chandler was about to sign it, Karen suddenly lunged forward and pushed him aside. “No! You can’t sign that!”
He frowned. “Have you gone mad?”
Pointing at him, she responded angrily, “I think you’re the one who has gone mad! This is two hundred million we’re talking about. That’s not a small amount! We’ve worked so hard to raise her, so why on earth should we give her the money?‘
Then, she shifted her gaze to Yoel and said maliciously, “Do you know where Francesca’s money came from? It was given to her by Colton! Aren’t you her fiancé? Didn’t you sense you were getting cuckolded? Back when we married Francesca off to Colton, she was very resistant. Eventually, however, she still obediently…”
“Great.”
Contrary to Karen’s expectations, Francesca did not seem afraid of letting her go on. Even Yoel showed no signs of anger. The two of them merely looked at Karen as though she was a troublemaker.
Instead, it was Chandler and Miranda who glared at her angrily.
“I’ve understood your intentions. There’s no need to sign this contract. anymore.” Francesca glanced at Karen indifferently, then turned and walked away.
Chandler panicked immediately. I might still have the chance to turn things around if we sign a ten–year installment plan, and if things don’t work out, I can at least leave an empty shell for her. But if she leaves now, I won’t have another chance!

Gritting his teeth, he struck Karen across her face several times. “Don’t run your mouth when you know nothing! If you keep babbling nonsense, we’re getting a divorce!”
She stared at him in disbelief. A second later, she started scuffling with hima. “Chandler Beckman! You wouldn’t be where you are today if it weren’t for me! How dare you hit me!”
Her fierce and swift attack left him completely unable to defend himself. While the two were engaged in a heated fight, they did not notice that Francesca and Yoel had taken the opportunity to leave the Beckman villa.
“Once Chandler signs the contract, I’ll officially change my name.”
The trip to see the Beckman family had gone even smoother than Francesca could have imagined. As long as Chandler did not want to go bankrupt immediately and become penniless, he would not dare to say anything more.
Yoel also laughed and said, “In that case, congratulations on breaking free from the Beckman family. How about I treat you to dinner?”
She glanced at him helplessly. Just as she was about to respond, his phone started ringing.
He was secretly annoyed. Who is calling me at a time like this?
As soon as he answered the call, his expression completely changed.
“What’s wrong?” Francesca turned to him with a strange look, only to see him looking extremely upset. He pressed his lips together and said, “Lukas and Luna have been admitted to the hospital.”

“Don’t worry just yet. My mom said they’ve already arrived at the hospital. It shouldn’t be too serious,” he explained guiltily. She entrusted me with taking care of the children because she trusted me. I never imagined things would
go awry.
He knew how important the little ones were to Francesca. With that in mind, he quickly floored the gas pedal and drove her to the hospital at top speed.
Once they arrived at the hospital, Yoel followed the directions his mother had provided and headed to the fifth floor. However, he saw no sign of them there.
A slew of ominous speculations flooded Francesca’s mind. With a pale face, she hurriedly stopped a doctor in a white coat. “Excuse me, do you know if a pair of twins was just admitted to the hospital?”
The doctor stopped walking and looked at her. “Do you mean the two children with food allergies? Their condition is now under control. They’re probably in the phlebotomy room getting their blood drawn.”
Allergies? Francesca was momentarily stunned but quickly regained her composure and thanked the doctor.
“I’ve already told my mom about their dietary restrictions. How could this happen?” Yoel was also astonished. Knowing how much his mother cared for the two children, he could not help wondering how she could have made such a mistake.
She anxiously asked for directions to the phlebotomy room, but before she had taken two steps, someone grabbed her. “Francesca?”
It was Colton.
The color drained from her face, and her heart nearly jumped to her throat.

She shot Yoel a discreet glance. Quickly catching on to her meaning, the latter slipped away silently.
Trying hard to suppress the anxiousness in her heart, she looked at Colton impatiently and asked, “Is there something you need?”
He was unfazed by her stubborn and intractable attitude. Furrowing his brows, he asked, “Why are you here?”
“This is a hospital. Why can’t I be here?” Her gaze kept drifting toward the phlebotomy room. She did not want to waste any time talking to him. All she wanted was to quickly check on Lukas and Luna.
His expression immediately darkened.
Before he could say anything, Elsa hurried over from a short distance away while wearing a hospital gown. A gentle smile adorned her face. “Colt?”
Her expression shifted drastically when she saw him holding onto Francesca. As though asserting her dominance, she grabbed his hand.
Colton wriggled his arm, but in the end, he still could not pull it away.
No wonder he was questioning me so anxiously. As it turns out, he was worried I had tracked him here and might harm his beloved. A mocking look filled. Francesca’s eyes as she said, “Don’t worry. Had I known you guys were here, I’d never have come to the hospital.”
Worried about the children and not wanting them to bump into Colton, she turned around and prepared to leave.
However, Elsa hurriedly stopped her and said warmly, “Francesca, what happened previously was the reporter’s fault. Are you willing to forgive me?”

Upon hearing that, Francesca glanced at her indifferently. “If I were you, I wouldn’t ask questions like these that’d only embarrass oneself.”
Elsa felt so aggrieved that her eyes turned red. She reached out to grab Francesca’s hand, but the
uttered, “Sorry, I’m not batted it away in one swift motion and
flippant type. Don’t touch me.”
Elsa gasped. It was so painful that her eyes brimmed with tears.
“I truly love Colt, and I… I’m pregnant.” Elsa hung her head, seemingly miserable.
Francesca sneered and responded, “It’s not like I’m the one who got you pregnant. What’s the point of telling me?”
Elsa’s expression changed slightly. However, she quickly looked up with a pitiful expression. “I just hope you can consider for the child’s sake…”
As she spoke, she paid close attention to Colton’s attitude. Ever since that Twitter incident, he has become noticeably distant. He hasn’t even called at all over the past few days. I’ve come this far after much difficulty, and I refuse to let myself fail now.
Francesca suddenly moved closer, and Elsa instinctively took a step back.
Seeing that, Francesca curled her lips mockingly and said, “That’s none of my business.”
Elsa widened her eyes, but Francesca did not give her a chance to speak. “It doesn’t matter to me whether you’re pregnant with a fairy or a cunning fox. All I hope is that your earth–shattering love will last forever and that you’ll never harm others. Rest assured that I’ll definitely wish you both all
the best.”
Having no wish to watch Elsa continue playing the victim, Francescal turned around after saying that and walked off.

Elsa’s face turned pale with anger. She desperately wished she could hurl the most vicious insults at Francesca. However, recalling that Colton was still standing beside her, she forced herself to suppress her rage.
With her eyes brimming with tears, she looked at him and said, “Francesca, she… I just wanted to apologize.”
