Timothy wisely closed his mouth as he observed Colton’s face clouding
over.
“Children? Where did these children come from?” Colton looked up at Timothy. Timothy shook his head. “All I know is that the two children’s last name is Shelley, and it seems they were admitted to the hospital due to an allergic reaction.”
Colton leaned into his sofa chair as he subconsciously stroked his lighter. “How is the investigation on Zabielski Group that I asked you to do last time?”
Timothy breathed a sigh of relief knowing that he wouldn’t ask about the children anymore. He handed over a stack of documents. “Zabielski Group is making good profits and several major projects are progressing smoothly. I’m afraid it might be a bit difficult to take them down.”
Colton viewed the documents and casually lit a cigarette. He sneered, “Difficult?”
There was never a day without difficulties since he was forced to take over Zeller Group at the tender age of fourteen.
There was nothing he wants that he couldn’t have.

She brought her face closer to Francesca as she spoke to give Francesca a good look.
The recovery abilities of the two kids were impressive. The rashes on their faces and bodies had completely disappeared within a day. Hence, it was no wonder they couldn’t sit still.
Seeing that Francesca remained unmoved, Luna sat on the sofa nearby and drooped her head in disappointment. “I knew it! You clearly said she wouldn’t abandon us! You grow fat from all the fats you eat!”
Feeling as if something was off, she anxiously turned to Lukas. As expected, Lukas sighed helplessly. “It’s gaining weight from breaking promises.”
Francesca couldn’t help but laugh at their exchange.
She suddenly recalled what Yoel had said to her yesterday. Since Lukas and Luna had already returned to their home country and she couldn’t possibly send them back, appearing in public was just a matter of time.
After a moment of silence, she crouched down, looked them in the eye, and said, You are not allowed to reveal your identities if you want to follow. me to work, okay?”
“All right!” Luna gave Lukas a look and agreed without hesitation.
Francesca seemed surprised. “Are you sure? You can’t say I’m your mom when we reach my office, okay? Are you willing to do that?”

“Lukas?” Francesca turned to Lukas in shock. She never expected that Lukas would say such things to Luna in private.
Lukas pursed her lips and showed all the news related to the Beckman family and Elsa on his phone to Francesca. There were even discussions about the marriage between Colton and Francesca.
Francesca’s breath hitched. She turned to Lukas in shock. With trembling hands, she said, “Lukas, you…”
She didn’t know how to voice her question as the words reached the tip of her tongue.
“I know, this Colton might be my dad.” Before Francesca could sort out her thoughts, Lukas dropped another bombshell, leaving her stunned for quite some time.

Francesca felt suffocated at that and was unsure whether or not she should

She went silent for a long time. Eventually, she nodded, “Yes, he is your father.”
Luna, who had been out of the loop, finally understood a word. She stared at Francesca and Lukas in confusion, “Dad? Where did this ‘dad‘ come

“He’s just a bad guy,” Lukas told Luna in a concise and clear manner.
Luna widened her eyes. “Let’s get a new dad then.”
The tightness in Francesca’s chest suddenly went away. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. “You guys…”
She knew that they had also imagined their father’s presence when they were young. However, they gradually stopped asking about him due to her avoidance of the topic.

She could even recall that when she was discharged from the hospital, her children had already recovered from jaundice and looked fair. They sweetly smiled at her the first moment they laid eyes on her.
Francesca embraced her kids without a word as she snapped back to reality.
Luna quietly leaned into Francesca’s ear and asked, “Will Uncle Yoel be our father?”
Francesca was taken aback for a moment before she gently replied, “He’s still not right now. Do you like Uncle Yoel?”
Luna nodded firmly. “Uncle Yoel has so many delicious foods. I can eat tasty food every day if he becomes my dad!”
Perhaps even Yoel himself never imagined that one day he would emerge victorious in this very aspect.
“If Mom doesn’t like Uncle Yoel, I can help you find someone else!” Luna nodded earnestly and said, “Don’t worry, a man who is good to children is definitely a good man!”
