Chapter 63 Relaying The News To Lynda

Anna was reluctant to agree, but with Lynda currently holding custody of the child, they had no right to object and could only consent.

Upon entering the conservatory in the garden, Lynda maintained a sweet smile on her face. However, her gaze was firmly fixed on Fergus. “It seems like you’re having such a good time here that you’re too happy to be homesick.”

Fergus’s lips were tightly pressed together as he said in a low voice, “This is

my

home.”

“Your home?” Lynda scoffed. “I am your mother. No one but me can decide where your home is.”

As she spoke, her smile widened even further. “I told you long ago. Unless I become Mrs. Zabielski, don’t even think about setting foot in the Zabielski residence.”

Upon hearing that, Fergus couldn’t help but interject, “But he has children other than me. How could he possibly bring you into the family?”

Lynda’s expression suddenly turned menacing. “What did you say?”

Fergus remained silent, his head bowed. Lynda gently placed her hand on his shoulder, a soft smile playing on her lips. “You do know what happens when you make me angry, don’t you?”

A wave of intense pain radiated from his shoulder blade, causing Fergus’s face to turn ashen.

Looking from the outside in, all one could see was a cordial conversation between Fergus. and Lynda. No one could have imagined, that beneath Lynda’s sweet smile lurked such ruthlessness.

In pain, Fergus had no choice but to relay the news about the twins Yoel had with an outsider to Lynda in full detail.

Lynda’s lips curled into a smile. “I knew it couldn’t be that simple. Twins, one boy and one. girl? But they need to be able to thrive in this world, don’t they?”

Fergus seemed to shrink back a ‘bit, apparently quite intimidated by Lynda’s behavior.

Lynda gently placed her hand atop Fergus’s head. “If you want to return to the Zabielski family, you’ll have to do as I say. You haven’t forgotten, have you?”

Fergus clutched tightly onto his own pant leg, nodding his head.

Half an hour later, Lynda and Fergus finally emerged from the conservatory.

Anna immediately rushed forward, anxiously grasping Fergus’s hand. “Are you all right?”

Her anxious demeanor was not that of a child meeting their birth mother, but rather as if the child was encountering a dangerous individual.

Lynda was unfazed.

The more Anna valued Fergus, the greater the likelihood she would be willing to compromise.

“I’m planning to travel abroad for a few days, so I’ll allow him to extend his stay at the Zabielski residence.”

While Anna was feeling extremely reluctant to part with Fergus, Lynda’s good news brought her immense joy. She tightly embraced Fergus, who was standing next to her.  Sᴇaʀch Thᴇ FɪndNøvel.ɴᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Yoel found Lynda’s sudden concession quite odd. Immediately raising his guard, he asked, “Why this sudden change of heart? You’re not up to something shady, are you?”

Before Lynda could even speak, Anna impatiently cut him off, saying, “What nonsense are you spouting here? If you have spare time, hurry up and leave. Don’t be a nuisance!”

Left with no other choice, Yoel found himself compelled to lead Lynda out the door.

Meanwhile, Colton had also returned to the Zeller manor with the documents in hand.

Based on the discussions they had with Fashn Group over this period, the holiday resort would require a total investment of at least twenty billion. That was a significant sum for both Fashn Group and Zeller Group.

For that very reason, it was imperative to approach that project with even greater caution.

Unexpectedly, he didn’t see Phillip in the house. Phillip, who rarely ventured outside, was surprisingly not home.

“Where’s my grandpa?” Colton immediately summoned the butler to inquire about Phillip’s whereabouts. The butler, ever so diligent, replied, “When Old Mr. Zeller woke up, he felt a bit unwell, so he went to see Dr. Coleman.”

At the mention of Dr. Coleman, Colton subtly furrowed his brows and fell silent.

“I’ll place these documents in the study first,” Colton said nonchalantly to the butler.

Upon reaching the study, Colton casually tossed the documents onto the desk. Just as he was about to leave, his eyes caught sight of a folder on the table.
