“Investigate Linda, Elsa, and the Beckman family!” Cynthia quickly said to Colton while she made to call Marcus to hire men to help.
But just as soon as she opened her phone, a message from an unknown number popped up.
It was a photograph taken in a dimly lit warehouse. Lukas and Luna were tied to chairs. There was another child beside them, but Cynthia paid it no mind.
She noticed that Lukas‘ injured hand hung limply by his side, and Luna’s face had turned red from struggling. Her breath hitched.
“Investigate a phone number for me.”
Colton also saw the picture in Cynthia’s hand. In an instant, a burst of violence erupted all around him.
With her hands trembling, Cynthia sent the picture to Marcus. Not long after, Marcus. quickly called her back. “Ms. Shelley, what was that?”
“Lukas and Luna have been kidnapped. Have everyone in the IT department find the location by any means necessary.” Cynthia took a deep breath, struggling to keep his emotions in check. “This information must not be leaked. Anyone who finds a lead will be given one million each as a reward.”
On the other end of the phone, Marcus panicked briefly but quickly composed himself.
After some thought, Cynthia still felt uneasy. She sent the picture and the phone number to her friends in Fruycia and had them offer a hefty reward for any hacker who could pinpoint. the location.
“Did you get anything from the surveillance footage?”
Speeding all the way, Colton drove Cynthia to the hospital entrance. Yoel quickly rushed up.
His expression was extremely grave as he said to Cynthia solemnly, “The surveillance footage showed two nurses leading the children out of the ward. I’ve verified it, and both are indeed genuine hospital staff.”
Precisely because of that, their actions went unnoticed by everyone.
Cynthia’s heart slowly sank. “Where is the caregiver I hired?”
There was an emergency at her company that morning. As such, she made a trip back home. Concerned about her children, she even went as far as to hire two caregivers. Unexpectedly,

“I bumped into him on my way here,” Cynthia replied nonchalantly.
“You don’t need to worry about my children, Mr. Zeller.” Yoel flashed Colton a provocative smile and pointed at the door. “You should just go back where you came from.”
Unexpectedly, Colton smiled instead of flying into a rage. “Do you really think pretending to be the children’s father will make it true?”
Yoel wanted to speak further, but Cynthia was already irritated and reprimanded in a low voice, “Enough. If you two want to argue, please take it outside.”
Having said that, she personally went to the surveillance room.
The footage in the surveillance room was crystal clear. Not long after the two nurses entered the room, they emerged, each cradling a child in their arms. When questioned, they calmly explained that they were taking the children for a checkup.
Considering their identities, no one harbored any suspicions..
Cynthia’s expression grew increasingly grave as she watched the footage. Beside her, Yoel continued to explain, “I’ve obtained the addresses of two nurses from the hospital, only to find out that they have also mysteriously disappeared.”
The expressions on all three of their faces turned solemn.
At that moment, the breathless Marcus and Timothy hurried over, reporting the results of their investigation.
“Everyone in the IT department is scouring every detail. They said they don’t need a bonus. to save Lukas.” Although Lukas‘ time in the IT department was brief, he had already won the affection of everyone in the department. They all eagerly volunteered to help find him.
Cynthia nodded silently.
