The two little ones pressed their lips together without answering her.

stopped at the door, saying, “Miss Selwyn, I know you and your kids are inside. Mr.

The fight outside continued for a long time. Finally, it ended, restoring silence to the

these people belonged to. She only hoped that if they weren’t coming to rescue her,
they would leave as soon as possible without noticing she was here. However, her
hopes were dashed when she heard the sound of steady footsteps made by shoes
landing on the floor. Then, a pair of shoes stopped right in front of the stall where she
was in. In an instant, she wished she were dead.
The door was given a push, but it didn’t budge. Next, an unfamiliar male voice could be
heard speaking in Entran. It said, “Aimilios, get the door open.”

person wanted to get the door open, Victoria feared that the kids would get hurt once
they bust the door down and forced their way in. Moreover, “Aimilios” sounded like the
name of a man of great strength. She had no choice but to stand up and shout loudly,
“Don’t do that! I’ll open the door by myself.”
Her words were instantly met with silence outside.
