There I was in the kitchen, whistling while I made pancakes and Henry watched me with interest.

A year had passed and I was happier than ever.

"Will you make me a bear for pancakes?" asked Henry, looking at me askance.

"Sure, if you tell me whether you want a brown bear or a grizzly," I replied with a grin and he beamed.

"The grizzly!" he shouted as I made a round pancake and stuck two ears in the shape of little circles on it.

"Mum!" he shouted and ran to her.

"Mum, your tummy is getting bigger and bigger! Have you eaten honey too?" he called to us.

Catherine laughed sheepishly and shook her head: "No... We told you it was your sister growing in my tummy..." Cate said with a smile and stroked her tummy.

Oh yes, Caty Baby was expecting a baby, a girl - from me.

I had never been so happy, because now I had my queen and soon I would be holding my princess in my arms.

There was nothing better and not in my worst dreams would I give up my family. They were the reason I was now living for eternity.

She came up to me and planted a kiss on my cheek.

"Can I have a pancake too?" she asked sheepishly, to which I smiled.

"I'll do anything for my queen," I replied and made her one too.

I took a glass and poured her some orange juice. "Have you taken your vitamins? She rolled her eyes with a smile, sat down on the chair and exhaled.

"This tummy is bothering me... 'Yes, I took them,' she replied, smiling at me.

It wouldn't be long before our princess Ivy would join us.

"You're almost there mummy bear, aren't you Henry?" I said with a grin and he nodded.

"Yes mum, you're doing great!" he shouted and looked towards the door as Ryan came rushing in too.

"Daaaadddyyyyy!" Henry was always happy to see Ryan and gave him a hug.

"Hey kiddo," he pressed a kiss to his forehead and looked up at us.

"Oh great, pancakes, pass me some," he said, to which I rolled my eyes and held my plate out to him.

"I've got news," Ryan announced, looking at us with a curious smile.

I frowned and nodded: "Shoot," I replied.

He grinned and leant back in his chair.

"We've never been short of money, but now we're richer than ever. We've got the contract for the Hamilton," he explained, beaming with joy, to which we rejoiced: "That's amazing! I'm happy for you".

"For us! We're a family after all. Our turnover has quadrupled and we will soon be opening a hotel chain throughout Europe," Ryan announced happily.

These were the best conditions for a start into the future.

Like every story, this one comes to an end and a new one begins.
