Chapter 11: Run Baby Run

Andi walked into the kitchen and said " you guys gotta go back soon...if Agathor detects your power signatures he will attack and take us all...he only stays away because I'm no longer a threat but with the power buildup we're a target". Andrea sighed and said "we should probably go explain this whole mess to Victoria and Andi said "yes we should" before walking up to Victoria's room. When they entered the room Andrea walked up to Victoria, hugged her, and said "it's okay I'm your mommy and she is too, she's just from another world...which is where we are now... I and daddy are taking you back home tomorrow along with Andi and aunt Paula". Andrea walked to the door and said "I'll let you spend time with her while me and Jay figure out how to get back" and Andi said "you would really let us come with you? and Andrea said "yes, you've suffered enough" before leaving the room.

Andrea went back downstairs and met up with jay who took her to their room down the hall. When they walked in, jay said "I cleaned this room up as best I could". Andrea frowned before closing the door and sitting on the bed and saying "I can't believe with one single decision, a world can crumble like this". Jay went to hold Andrea and he noticed she was trembling, so he sat next to her and said "I know it's scary to think that this could've been our world and it could still happen to Victoria if another evil arises long after we're dead". Andrea said, "I don't ever want this to happen...this is why I refuse to release my grip on Victoria". Jay cupped her cheek and said, "you're gonna have to...or she's gonna grow to resent you...like I said earlier you gotta trust me so we can work together". Andrea laid down and turned over facing away from him so he left the argument alone and walked back into the living and fell asleep on the couch". The next morning, however, was anything but peaceful as jay woke to the sound of explosions and gunfire; it was Andi and Paula, fighting this army of dark, red-eyed creatures.

Andrea rushed in and said "we gotta get outta here and fast" before running up to Victoria's room and waking her up. Andrea then closed her eyes and focused all her energy along with jay, into forming a portal but the timing was too late as the red creatures overwhelmed Paula and Andi and were now storming the house. When the portal finally formed, it was tiny, only big enough for Victoria, so Andrea pushed her through and said "find grandma and tell her what happened just as a familiar voice said "I've finally caught you "before the portal closed leaving her all alone in the Mendoza house of the prime universe. Victoria was horrified and didn't know what to do, so she went up to her room and hid under the covers until she heard a knock at the door; it was Paula. Victoria ran downstairs opened the door and jumped into Paula's arms crying. Paula said, "easy Victoria, it's alright... It's nice to see they found you, but where are your mommy and daddy?".

Victoria calmed down before saying" they threw me through a hole here after these black scary things took them away on the other side". Paula gasped and said "it's ok Victoria I'm here now, but first things first, we need to call the family ASAP" before she reached for her phone and dialed Julie. Andrea's mother picked up and Paula said: "Julie we have another family emergency...I found Victoria all alone at Andrea and Jay's house and she said threw her through the portal before they were captured".

Julie said "okay stay calm and bring Victoria over here; I'll summon the gods and assemble the family ASAP" before hanging up. After setting her phone down, Paula said "okay Victoria we're gonna go upstairs and pack some of your toys and clothes before we go to gram gram's house". Victoria looked down and said "okay" and Paula could see the pain in her eyes and she knew that Victoria was aware that something was up. After packing, Paula locked up Andrea and Jay's house before heading over to Julie's house where she was ushered in as soon as the car door slammed shut.

When Paula stepped into the house she was shocked by how beautiful it looked, they had completely redesigned the house the same way it was before but with a modern twist and a few new areas. As they walked into the kitchen, she was greeted by Maya, Maldor Ariel, and Aula as well as the rest of the Mendoza family" before all eyes looked to Victoria. Julie picked Victoria up and sat her on the table and said "Victoria, tell us exactly what happened as best as you can remember it". Victoria was nervous with all eyes on her but she told them in detail about everything that had happened up to the point where she was thrown into the portal before everyone looked at each other and started mumbling. Maya slammed her hand on the table and said "hush and listen... we will get them back but first we need to weigh our options" Andrea's sister, Elizabeth stood up and said, "what options, we need to go through there and get them". Maya looked at her and said," If Agathor were to capture us, he would travel through here not only kill all of you but millions more". Julie said "well we can't just sit here and do nothing" before Joanna slammed her cane on the table and said "enough...I get we're all worried but let the woman speak".
