Chapter 12
She was wrapped in a pink bath towel.
Due to her height, the bath towel wrapped around her was much lower and shorter than a low–cut miniskirt. It was just enough to cover her private parts.
Droplets of water fell from her hair, meandering through the curves of her chest and her long straight legs.
In short, a beauty, who had just taken a bath, was seductive without doing anything else.
Ragnar’s eyes widened when he saw Josephine.
At that moment, their gazes met.
Josephine calmly pulled down the tightly wrapped bath towel and looked at Ragnar with her dark eyes. “What’s wrong, Mr. Levine?”
“Mm.” Ragnar gulped and said, “The children are crying.”
“Oh.” Josephine replied, “I’ll go check on them immediately after I get dressed.”
She then turned around and wanted to go to the bathroom.
Although Josephine appeared unruffled on the surface, she was not calm at all. She wanted to run away from Ragnar’s sight quickly. However, she panicked, and then something bad happened.
The slippers under her feet slipped, and she fell backward uncontrollably.
“Watch out!”
Ragnar quickly gave Josephine a hand, and the latter was pulled into his arms.
“Thank you,” Josephine thanked him.
Just when she was about to withdraw herself from Ragnar’s arms, the bath towel that had been wrapped tightly around her fell off.
Both Ragnar and Josephine were dumbfounded.
There was silence in the air for a few seconds.
Josephine stared at herself with her eyes wide open. She then looked at Ragnar, who was also staring at her.
At that moment, she felt like she could die right on the spot.
Her little face turned beet red as she hurriedly picked up the bath towel and wrapped it around her body. Without looking back, she immediately ran into
the bathroom and shut the door.
Ragnar’s dark eyes were filled with desire.
Looking at the tightly closed bathroom door, he could vividly remember the scene when Josephine’s bath towel fell off. Thinking of that was enough to make Ragnar’s blood boil.
His Adam’s apple bobbed, and his mouth went dry. Beads of sweat had even formed on his forehead.
The man then turned around and left.
He thought angrily, <This woman had just taken a shower. Why did she run out of the bathroom like that? She then happened to fall and drop her towel…

The night before yesterday, she had been set up and kissed me in an unconscious state. Furthermore….

After getting dressed, Josephine went to Danny and Manny’s room next door.
When she came over, she saw Danny and Manny still crying fiercely.
“What happened?” asked Josephine.
“Let me see. You two were fine just now. Why are you crying so aggrievedly?” Josephine comforted gently as she held the twins in her arms.
She coaxed them.
Amazingly, with just a few words, she managed to cajole laughter out of the little twins, who were brimming with tears in the corners of their eyes
moments ago.
That night, Danny and Manny cried several times.
Every time Josephine came over, they would soon calm down.
Josephine told Ragnar, “They are crying not because they are sick, or something else. It’s because their sleep cycle was disrupted. If babies sleep too much during the day, they will wake up easily at night and be quite a handful.”
She then advised, “Don’t let them sleep too much during the day. They will be better after making some changes in their sleep schedule.”
Ragnar responded, “All right.”
Seeing that Danny and Manny didn’t cry, he continued to stay in the room for a while and left.
Just when Ragnar walked out, he received a call from his friend, Casper Hayes, inviting him for a drink at a bar.
“I’ll be right there,” he said.
Ragnar went to the bar.
He didn’t come back from the bar until after 12:00a.m.
After that, Ragnar went to Danny and Manny’s room.
He pushed the door open and saw the children sleeping sweetly in the crib.
Josephine stayed in the room and didn’t leave. She fell asleep on the wooden bed next to the crib. That little wooden bed was originally reserved for the babysitter to take care of the babies at night.
The babies must have cried a few times, so Josephine decided to stay in the room to accompany them and let the babysitter go to rest.
She was then too tired. That was why she slept so soundly that she didn’t even wake up after Ragnar entered the room for so long
The lights in the room were off.
Ragnar’s eyes fell on Josephine.
He saw how beautiful she looked sleeping in the moonlight. She was not the type to amaze people at first sight. However, her beauty made people feel at ease and peace.
Chapter 12
Ragnar walked over.
He initially wanted to cover her with a blanket.
However, thinking of the small and hard wooden bed, he was worried that she would feel uncomfortable sleeping and thought, “If she falls, or doesn’t sleep well and feels lethargic, how can she take good care of the babies after that?”
And so, Ragnar scooped Josephine up in his arms and carried her back to her room.
As he held her in his arms, he felt her soft body.
It was completely different from a man’s body structure, and there was also a hint of a sweet scent.
Her black hair naughtily nuzzled against his neck, as if trying to get into his heart.
It was tickling and seemed to carry an electric current.
Ragnar’s Adam’s apple bobbed.
As he breathed in her sweet fragrance, he looked at the woman in his arms. He couldn’t help but be reminded of the scene that day where Josephine had just gotten out of the shower.
At that moment, his mouth went dry, and he became thirsty.
Then, he remembered that night when Josephine jumped into his arms in the car. She pounced to kiss him several times. She even tore his and her own
clothes.
Thinking of that scene made Ragnar even thirstier.
He carried Josephine back to her room and threw her on the bed, feeling irritated.
Josephine woke up from that.
With her sleepy eyes, she looked at the inexplicably angry man in front of her. “Mr. Levine?”
Then, she came to her senses with a jolt. She gazed at Ragnar, who threw her on the bed. He didn’t manage to leave yet, and one of his arms hadn’t been
pulled out.
He was still bending down, and the distance between them was very close.
Josephine immediately rolled into the bed. On high alert, she blurted out, “What are you doing? Do you want to take advantage of me again?”
Ragnar frowned upon hearing her words.
He asked with a darkened expression, “What do you mean by taking advantage of you?”
Josephine was rendered speechless.
She then muttered in a fow voice, “Well, someone did come to my room. He saw that I just came out of the shower, and yet he didn’t leave immediately. When I was about to fall, that certain someone should have just let me fall instead of pulling me. Otherwise, my bath towel wouldn’t have slid down!”
As Josephine went on, her voice became increasingly louder.
Fixing her dark eyes on Ragnar, she continued, “Moreover, Mr. Levine, don’t you know how to close your eyes to avoid any misunderstanding? Your eyes were wide open at that time!”
Ragnar sneered in response.
“Are
you pushing the blame on me? If it weren’t for the fact that you are the twins‘ nanny and that we are a couple, I won’t care if you fall to death!” Rugnar lashed out with his sharp tongue.
Then, he continued, “And who do you think will have the intention to look twice at your washboard–like figure?”
Josephine was dumbstruck.
She fumed as his words sank in, “Mr. Levine, you have been looking at it a lot!”
“Since when did I have a washboard–like figure? I obviously have a good body figure! That is an asset to be proud of, okay!” she grumbled internally.
Of course, she wouldn’t say that out loud.
“Mm.” Ragnar responded, admitting that he indeed had been watching her a lot..
