Then, she walked up to Ragnar and patted his back to case his anger. “Ragnar, calm down and talk nicely.” 

She had to be a girl that prioritized Ragnar so that he could accept her again. 

“Get out!” Ragnar swept a cold gaze at Dorothy.

He continued to wait. Another half an hour passed, but there was still no trace of Josephine. 

Ragnar decided not to wait anymore. He lifted the quilt, put on his slippers, and went straight to the baby room. 

He pushed open the door of the baby room. 

There was a nightlight inside, and Josephine had already fallen asleep. 

Ragnar walked over and gazed down at her. His tall figure stood there as still as the mountain. 

Under the dim, warm light, Ragnar could see clearly that there were still some tears in the corners of Josephine’s eyes.

That night, Josephine slept in the baby room. 

Danny and Manny woke up early the next day. Since Josephine was in the children’s room, she prepared the formula milk and coaxed them. 

After comforting the twins, she went to wash up and change clothes. 

She was ready to go downstairs once she was done with everything. 

As soon as she reached the staircase, she saw the man sitting on the couch downstairs. He looked very elegant with his slender legs folded together and a newspaper in his hands. 

Josephine’s heart beat wildly as she looked at the side of his face. 

She exclaimed inwardly. “Stop it! What are you thinking about, Josephine? A god–like creature like Ragnar is from a different world from you. He’s not someone you can take a peep at! All you have to do now is do your job well and not think about anything else.” 

At the thought of that, Josephine took a long breath to calm herself down. Only then she went downstairs slowly. 

When she reached downstairs, she only politely greeted Ragnar and left immediately. 

Ragnar was at a loss for words. 

His face instantly darkened as he watched Josephine leave, and the temperature around him plummeted. 

He had not slept all night and woke up early to wait for her there. 

He thought she had vented her anger, and everything should return to how it was after a night.

Not only did Josephine treat him coldly, but she also left without eating breakfast. 

Ragnar stood up and walked away. 

When his car passed by Josephine, he left without even looking at her.

However, soon, she was delighted to find that the condom box was still intact and unopened.
