The quilt on the bed was folded neatly, and Ragnar’s figure could not be seen anywhere.
Josephine was confused.
“Didn’t Hannah say that he hadn’t eaten yet? Where did he go?” she mused.
She went downstairs to look around but didn’t see Ragnar. She thought, “Maybe he is not in the mansion.”
Josephine shook her head and chuckled. How could Ragnar wait for her to have dinner? They were just married by agreement. Their marriage was not real. He had no reason to wait for her. She thought perhaps Hannah said that just to make them get along well.
After taking a shower, she returned to the baby room again.
She was already exhausted after a day’s work. Besides, she had dealt with Jonathan for a long time. That made her worn out, so she laid down to rest.
At the bar where Ragnar was, the men and women on the dance floor twisted their enchanting bodies, dancing under the neon lights.
