Enceladus 4: The Invasion -
Epilogue
I flew until I found the nearest garden supply store. I ran off the list of ingredients in my head.
My father said I needed to make a circle of various herbs, kill seven people, and chant some spell.
"Amy! Don't do it!"
I turned and saw a blonde Enceladian trailing after me. She was hurt, I could tell. The backs of her shoulders were bleeding slightly and I smelled burnt flesh.
I turned my back to her and went inside the shop. I spotted a few things I needed and pocketed them after disposing of the armor around my torso.
“Amelia, please.” The girl had followed me in.
I rolled my eyes. “My name is Stacia.” Maybe she would be the first of the seven I killed.
The rest of the herbs weren’t there so I shoved past the girl and left the shop. Outside were a few people, all Enceladian. To the left was a battle. A battle that I couldn’t remember.
“Nïx, come back to us,” said a white-haired male.
I vaguely registered the word nïx. I was no sister of his.
I kept walking until another Enceladian with ash colored hair put his hand on my shoulder. His jade eyes were wet. I glared at him. With a jerk of my head, I sent him flying through the store behind me.
All the Enceladians ran after him and I made my way to a flower shop. After getting all of my supplies, I walked straight into the battle.
I turned my attention on a blue-skinned alien. Something in my brain told me he was from the planet Rhea. We made eye contact and I took the life from him.
I killed six other aliens, some extremely tall, and then I was ready.
“Amelia? What are you doing? What’s going on? What happened to your eyes?” asked a golden-eyed man. He was gorgeous and very confused.
I ignored him and set out the herbs in the shape of a pentagram just like my father told me. I then recited the Latin chant. I used my knife to cut my palm, letting the blood drip in the middle of the pentagram.
Suddenly the wind picked up and lighting struck. Dramatic.
I looked around. The fight had died down. Now the ones left standing were staring at me.
I finished the long chant and there was a bright light in the center of the pentagram. So bright I had to close my eyes.
It dimmed and I opened my eyes.
“Stacia.” My father grinned. “Shall we begin?”
