“You realized a bit late but don’t worry, you’ll get to see this monster every day now. I promise you, Matilda, you’ll see the worst side of me.” His menacing tone made my skin crawl, his eyes held impending danger.

I was finally seeing his real face. He was just pretending to be nice to me before but now, he didn’t bother to keep that facade.

“I promise you I won’t be surprised,” I said straightly.

“Who allowed you to get out of your room?” He narrowed his eyes, intimidating me. “I’m going to kill those useless guards.”

I swallowed a lump in my throat but quickly gained my composure back, not letting him see the fear in my eyes.

“Let me remind you that I’m the Alpha Queen so I can use my command to get out of my kingdom.” I scoffed.

“It’s my pack and I’m their Alpha-” he opened his mouth but I waved him off before he could finish his sentence.

“You’re just Alpha, baby. I’m the Alpha Queen because of whom you could become the King,” I smirked, arching a brow in a challenging tone.

My heart filled with satisfaction after hearing his furious growl. Putting him in his place was the right thing to do after tasting his betrayal.

Caleb stifled a chuckle, suppressing his l*ps hard. Prescott cleared his throat and glared at his Beta murderously.

“If you want to guard my room yourself, you’re welcome,” I shrugged. “Anyways, I’m hungry so I’m going to the kitchen.” I tossed my hair and turned my heels on.

Shaking my head in disappointment, I brushed away my tears. “So you expect me to be okay with it because I’m a she-wolf? A small smile twitched my l*ps as I remembered Mom. It hurt me a little when she didn’t react to Prescott’s infidelity but she had a lot going on.

I told Avery everything about my little meeting with Mom and she was relieved to know

that Mom was fine.

The purple diamond in the n*ecklace started glimmering when I rubbed it slowly.

“Matilda? Can you hear me?’ Her voice rang in my mind.

“Yes, Mom, I replied immediately.

‘I’m coming home. Dylan has plotted against us. He wants you so desperately,’ she said. hastily. “You need to go under the moonlight on the full moon night and let the diamond of my n*ecklace pour all the powers inside you.”

Mom guided me and disappeared after telling me how I could get my powers to the fullest extent. Tomorrow was the full moon night and I had to gain my powers before Dylan got to me.
