Olivia was surprised. She didn’t expect Ethan to come to fetch her. Although she had entrusted everything to Jack, she was still nervous when she got in the car.

Ethan frowned and said in a low voice, “Olivia, I said I'm going to the Carltons for dinner.”

Olivia nodded and said, “I know that. Don't worry. I won't bother you with calls asking you to come back.”

She recalled how she used to be. She developed severe mental issues due to feelings of anxiety.

She would bombard him with calls if he didn't get home by 6:00 pm. Her calls would annoy him so much that he would turn off his phone. Then, she would reheat the food a few times. She would also pace around the house nervously.

She found that version of herself quite detestable.

It wasn't just Ethan. Even she herself felt disgusted when thinking about it.
