Chris reached out for Olivia just as Ethan had expected.

“Olivia, I know that nothing I say can ease the resentment you've been feeling. I just want to tell you that your mother is in a

dire state.

“It wasn't that she refused to come back to Arlandia to see you. It's because of my special status that she couldn't come back. Your mother truly misses you!”

Olivia didn’t say a word. She couldn't be bothered to argue with him about Chloe missing her.
