“Carlos, no way. Why are you such a wet blanket? Didn’t we agree that each of us would bring a female companion here? I want to see the beautiful lady…” 

Before he could finish his sentence, someone beside nudged and warned him not to say anything more. 

Carlos had been married for more than a week. It was fine that he had not been to the villa in the past few days, but he had also not mentioned the 

woman at all. 

Everyone did not even know what was her name and age. 

How could they have expected him to bring her along?

Carlos raised his handsome eyebrows and asked curiously. “Do you really want me to bring a female companion?”

Carlos could not help but feel a little helpless. 

He rolled his eyes lazily and suddenly remembered that a woman seemed to have come in earlier. Maybe he should get her to join the fun. 

He looked towards the bathroom door and saw Edith. 

She was wearing a light–colored T–shirt and a pair of capri jeans, revealing her fair ankles. She was also wearing a pair of white canvas, which made her look fresh and refreshing. 

Her hair was tied into a high bun, making her look younger and more playful. Her delicate face was charming and youthful. Her long eyelashes flickered gently, like two exquisite fans, as she lowered her eyes. 

“Is this girl… an adult?” he thought doubtfully. 

“You, come here,” he said loudly. 

Edith looked up, puzzled. She found someone looking at her. It was obvious he was talking to her. 

“Didn’t I see him in the lounge last time? Why is he here?” 

She was stunned and pointed at her nose in confusion. “Me?” 

“Aren’t you coming over?” he repeated. 

His tone was commanding and irrefutable. 

She actually obediently stepped forward. 

“Play the cards for me. I’ll be responsible for your winnings or losses.” He reached out, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her to his side. 

The familiar scent wafted into his nose, which made him have a much better impression of her. 

“It will be nice if she is my wife, but unfortunately…” he thought. 

She was terrified and wanted to escape. Suddenly, the man moved closer. His lips even touched her ear. She could feel his hot breath. “I helped you not long ago. Now, shouldn’t you help me too?” A low and magnetic voice resonated.

Edith felt a little helpless. 

She really had to thank him, but… she didn’t know how to play Texas Hold’em poker! 

“Sorry, I don’t know how to…” Her back straightened and became rigid. 

Robert noticed their intimate interaction. His eyes widened in astonishment. “It doesn’t matter… if you don’t know how to play it, Carlos can teach you!” 

he stammered. 

“That’s right, that’s right. We are all in couples now. That’s great!” 

“What do you think? Don’t worry about winning or losing. I’ll be responsible for that.” His sexy voice sounded again and echoed in her ears gently. 

She had no choice but to brace herself and say, “Then…then alright.” 

As soon as she agreed, Teresa’s voice came from the bathroom. “Hey, come and help me pick a scarf.” 

“Oh! I’m coming!” 

Edith got up in a hurry, only to be pulled down by the man. She was caught off guard and almost fell into his arms. 

She looked at the man in confusion. 

Carlos was playing the cards and did not even spare her a glance. “My partner is not someone who can be ordered around,” he commented coldly.
