Previously, Jasmine had mentioned Alaric Ford, a man of great renown. And now, living with my husband, I can confirm that it is indeed him.

It infuriates me that he views me as a gold digger, someone who only wants to spend his money while we are still married.
“Does he really think I have no money?” I scoffed.
My phone rang once again.

“I really want to leave this house. Mom and Dad are constantly fighting. And I can’t stand my sister’s attitude. I’ll be heading off to college soon, so I’m planning on moving out and living on my own.”
Even though dad left my mom for a younger woman, Karma always has a way of catching up with him.
“Do you have any money?” I asked Dominic. “If you need it, I can help you out. Just keep it a secret from them.”

My father and stepfamily are completely clueless about who I actually married. They believed that I had married just someone out there.

After my short chat with my stepbrother, I returned to the kitchen. However, Alaric had. vanished.
