Chapter one:

CHLOE’S POV****

The night was bright and gloomy, but the moon filled the sky and was bright over the entire pack. Everyone could feel the presence of the moon goddess casting her gaze at us.

It was a full moon in Bay pack, not just the full moon but the blood moon, the most celebrated day within the entire pack where all distinguished members of the pack gathered around the ancestral hall to celebrate our existence and the gift of the full moon because for every wolf, the full moon was their greatest strength and without it, we would be useless.

But I guess I have not mentioned to you that today was also my birthday, not just my birthday, but my eighteenth birthday, the day that I have waited for all my life when I finally get to feel the bond between myself and Alpha Noah.

He explained everything to me regarding the mate bond, my heart was pounding rapidly, and my wolf and I were feeling excited. The excitement in my heart knew no bond and at that point, I thought my heart was going to explode, I took to my heels, and ran towards the ancestral hall, I got my wolf and I found my mate, not every werewolf at my age was this lucky, the only person that I wanted to share this good news with was Noah and the ancestral hall was right where he was going to be.

I scurried around the ancestral hall, but there was no trace of him, this was where he was supposed to be, people were celebrating, some were eating, while some were making out under the tent they had made, the mood was filled with joy, but here I was, a mixture of excitement and anxiety searching for my mate whom I yearn badly for at this moment.

scanning the entire area, there was no sign of him, so I headed back to the pack house but came to an abrupt halt right in front of a tent. It was the sound of loud moaning from within, I recognized the voice, it was that of Ashley my sister, but that was not why I came to a halt.

His smell filled my nose, one that I would recognize even amid another strong scent, it belonged to Noah the one who took my breath away, but why was his scent so strong and emanating from that tent where Ashley was moaning so loud? Even as I drifted closer to the tent, my feet were trembling, they refused to move, but I had to force them, there was no way it would be what I thought, Alpha Noah loves me to the moon and back, he never stops talking about how much he can’t wait for me to have his baby, there is no way that he would cheat on me especially not with my sister.

My hand caught hold of the tent and I pulled it to a side, and before me were two opposite s*x having the pleasure of their life, Ashley locked her gaze with mine, and her l*ps curled up into a smile moaning louder than before.

I clutched onto my chest almost collapsing to the ground but held myself firm, it was at this moment that Noah turned around and noticed my presence as he immediately jerked away from her, his hands searching for his clothes that were lying beside him he struggled to put them on.

“Chloe! What are you doing here?” His eyes were still filled with shock and guilt even while he asked, my chest was feeling an immense pain that I thought I would lose. but I clenched my fist and struggled to keep my cool.

Precipitously, he put on his shirt and rushed out of the tent as he grabbed my hand, but I wasn’t going to cry, he wasn’t going to see my tears, not in front of everyone.

“Chloe you were not supposed to be here, what are you doing here?”

“Is that all you have to say to me, I thought perhaps you would have some explanation, tell me that it was my eyes that were deluding me and I did not just witness you right on top of my sister”

“Yes you did Chloe, can you do anything about it, you were so naive to think that you would become the Luna just because you are his mate” Ashley who had just put on her clothes walked out of the tent, that prideful smug, she could not wipe away from her l*ps.

“You are going to step away from this slut while I speak to my man! ” I roared at her, my wolf was in so much rage, trying to take over and unleash her wrought at her.

“Your man?” She chuckled sarcastically like I had just made the worst joke.

“Indeed you are naive, even after watching how he wrapped his hands tightly around me, you still think that he is your man, Alpha, go ahead and tell her”

“Tell me what, Noah what the hell is going on are you just going to stand there and watch your mistress insult me”

“I am so sorry Chloe, this is not how I wanted you to find out, but you can’t be my mate or even become the Luna”

“What! What are you talking about Noah, you have always talked about how much you can’t wait for me to get my wolf so I can finally become the Luna”

“Come on Chloe, is that some sort of a joke, you a Luna, you are an orphan with no root or background, there is no way that the pack will let you become the Luna, I am so sorry Chloe, but I will have to reject the mate bond”

At that moment, I felt my entire world crumble and my heart shredded into tiny pieces.
