Ryder POV

“ARE YOU SERIOUS?!” Lye yells out in our ear as we tell him the news. “Yes you dick, now keep your voice down. You want the whole cafeteria to hear you?!” I told him in a whisper. “I don’t know whether to be happy or angry. You know how we feel about the Doves.” Peach tells us with an angry face. “Yeah...I mean...Zayne too...” Lye says with a sad face. “I know,” I said before putting my head down. “Yeah guys, you sure this is a good idea? I mean yeah, I get you want revenge for your parents and all, but this is so sudden..” Cherry adds. “I know, but just the fact that they had to leave me because Moonbeam was hunting them. I could’ve had family if it wasn’t for them.” Henry says with an angry tone. I rubbed his back and told him it was okay. Cherry looks down in sadness and looks at Lye. Lye sighs and says, “Hey, whatever you do, I’ll support you guys, but...just be careful. They’re still Doves. I’m specifically talking to Mr. I like to fight all the time.” He said while pointing at Henry.

Henry smiles and puts his hands up in a surrendering manner. “Maaan, I just transferred to your class, and now we’re not even gonna be together.” Peach says with a pout. I pinched her cheek and told her it was okay. Henry grabs my hand and glares at both of us. I laughed and so does she. You know, I hated her at first but she is starting to become a close friend of mine. “I’ll really miss you all,” I told them with a soft smile. “We’ll miss you guys too,” Cherry says tearing up. “Awww, come here,” I said opening my arms to pull everyone in for a hug. We tried our best to hug but the table is restricting us from getting close. We all laughed at this fact and continued eating. After lunch we promised to spend the last week we have together having hun. We go to arcades, Cherry’s house, the waterpark, and Six Flags. Man, I’m really going to miss this.

January 17th, 2077

A couple days pass by just like that. It’s officially the last day we have together. We’re all at the park watching the sunset on a picnic blanket. “I wish I could go home and tell my mom all the adventures I had and all the friends I made.” Lye tells us while looking up at the sky. “It sucks that I can only write to her, she lives in Arizona. She drove me all the way to Texas to be here. I just wish we could use our phones, that’d be much faster...” “Woah, Arizona?! Cool!” Peach says looking at Lye. “Eh, it’s too fucking hot,” he said back to her. "You know we're in Texas right?" I said to him. He nods and says, "I got away from the heat just to go back to it." We all laughed and agreed. “I wish this moment could last forever.” Peach tells us all. We smiled and agreed once more. “Was that a wish? I want to make one. I wish you guys would stay here,” Cherry says with a sad face. Me and Henry looked at each other sad as well.

“It’s okay, it’s a wish that doesn’t have to come true. I’ll just miss you guys a lot.” We smiled at her, and I grab her hand and tell her we’ll miss her too. She smiles and looks down. “I wish, everyone here lives longer than me.” We all looked at Henry with our mouths agape. “Henry! Don’t say that!!” Lye yells out. “I just...don’t want to see any of you die. I can't go through that again. I rather die before you guys.” I looked at him with a broken expression and hug him instantly. Everyone hugs him as well, and we all stay like that for a minute. He smiles at us and reassures us that it’s okay. “Then I wish no one here dies!” I yelled out confidently while putting my hand up in the air. “Everyone dies Ry,” Cherry tells me with a chuckle. I then put my hand down and started to rethink what I said. “Then I wish we all die at the same time!!” Everyone laughs at my ridiculous wish and I laugh too; and just like that, the day comes to an end.

January 18th, 2077

Henry and I go to meet up with that fancy guy at the designated place and time. One o’ clock, at a highway about 30 minutes from our school. Cherry’s mom drove us, since none of us have our license. Hell, we're not even old enough to drive yet. I'm glad everyone came with us to say goodbye though. When we get there we see that weird guy outside of his car waiting. "Holy shit! It’s a limo!! You lucky bastards!!” Lye yells out. After the car comes to a stop, we all step out except Cherry’s mom. We all looked at each other for a few seconds. Then we all hug. Lye and Peach started to cry, followed by Cherry and then me.

Henry was just laughing at our tears, but I could tell he was sad too. “Fuck you,” Lye said still crying; which made me laugh. We stop hugging and backed away towards the limo slowly. We started waving at them and they waved back at us. I will really miss them. The guy we met before opens the back of the limo door for us. Henry sticks up a peach sign before getting in and they stick one up as well. I blow a kiss to all of them before getting in, and they do the same. The guy gets in the front of the limo and starts it. He drives off, and I roll down the window and continued to wave at them. Henry puts his head out next to mine and does the same. “Make sure you visit us assholes!!!” Lye yells out. Henry and I laugh. “Dido!!” I yelled back. “Bring back a souvenir!!!” Cherry yells too. “We will!!” Henry yells back to her. “Love you guys!!!” Peach shouts as well. “Love you guys too!!!” I shout again. “We're never coming back!!!” Henry yells out playfully. I pushed him and he laughs. I look back to see Lye sticking up a middle finger and we both laughed. As they get further away I started tearing up. Henry puts his arm around my shoulder to console me. I grabbed his arm and snuggled into it. To be honest I never saw myself here when I first entered Brisbow. I thought I’d be top of the class, and have everyone bowing down to me. Now I’m middle of the class and dating the strongest person I know. I chuckled and Henry looks at me confused.

"What is it?" He asks. “Nothing,” I said while smiling at him. He tickles me and I pushed him. “Make sure to strap up,” We heard the guy say from the front. We quickly put our seatbelts on and I lay on Henry's shoulder. Henry grabs my hand and kisses it. I feel my face getting hot and he says, “I love you.” I blushed and turned away from him before saying, “I-I...love you too," in a small voice. “What? I can't hear you, could you say that again?” He asked with a smirk. I crossed my arms and said no. He chuckled and kissed my check. I smiled and kissed his cheek too. I then put my head on his shoulder, and he puts his head on top of mine. We closed our eyes and got ready for our new adventure.
