After we get done, we change into different clothes. He puts the chair back up and tells me to sit on his lap. I do it and he hugs my waist. He sighs and says “Best birthday I’ve ever had.” I turn my head around quickly and looked at him surprised. “It’s your birthday?!” I yelled out. “Yeah,” “Why didn’t you tell me?!” “I don’t really like celebrating it. Since I've never had a family to celebrate with.” I looked away with a sad expression. “It’s okay, I’m glad I saw my friends and I’m glad I got to do this with you.” He said before kissing my nape. I blushed and hit his thigh. He chuckled and continued to hug me. Marcus comes back, and Henry says, “Thanks Marcus.”

I forgot he was here. “Oh, sorry Marcus is it weird for you?” I asked awkwardly. “Huh? Oh no! It’s not that; I’m sorry.” He says while bowing. “What is it?” Henry asks him, curious as to why he sighed then. “It’s nothing really,” he replied. “Come on Marcus, tell us,” I said. “Yeah, tell us,” Henry added. We keep pressuring him and he finally cracks. “Alright, but this must stay between us. If my superiors find out-,” “Don’t worry Marcus, we can keep a secret.”

I said with a smile. “A long time ago, I once had a lover too. We did everything together. Even the things you guys are doing now, but...he was killed..” I turned to look at Henry who also visibly shocked. I turned back to face Marcus again as he continues his story. “He was killed because he went to help the humans fight the war with demons. I told him not to, but he wanted to save our country and the planet. He was very stubborn; and it wasn’t until later that I found out he wasn’t killed by demons, but someone from the human side.” I visibly see Marcus get angry.

“I want, no, I have to find out who killed him, then I can finally die peacefully. The only reason why I work for the Dean of the White Dove Academy, is because I have a strong feeling that Moonbeam are the ones who did it. If I want to catch Moonbeam, then I have to do this. White Dove is the closest and fastest way I can do that.” I looked at him still in shock. “I-I’m so sorry Marcus.” I say to him to try to console him. “It’s alright, it’s not your doing. To be frank, I was kind of happy when the Dean told me he wanted both of you to come to the Academy. It reminded me of my old days with my lover. You see, being gay was still frowned upon back then. Nowadays people don’t really care, but still, there will always be people who call you names. Don’t pay any mind to it, and if you guys ever need anything, I’m here.” He says with a painful smile.

I tell Henry to let me go. He does and I get up and go hug Marcus. He gets shocked and reluctantly hugs me back. I looked at him to see tears coming down his face. “Are you okay?!” I asked. “Ah..yes...It’s just been a while since someone has hugged me.” He says while wiping his tears away. I hugged him again and he continues to cry. Henry comes over and joins the hug. Marcus hugs us both and says, “T-Thank you.” “Of course, what are friends for!” I say raising my hands. “Fr-friends?” “Yeah Marcus, we’re friends now,” Henry says with a smile. Marcus smiles too and bows again. We both laughed and go back to our seats. I looked outside the window with amazement. I don’t even know what city we are in but it looks pretty. I look at the time, and it’s 3:48, I remember we took off at 2:12 pm.

“Marcus how long until we get there?” I ask excitedly. “About another two hours.” He responds. I sighed and sat back down. “Another two hours huh?” Henry looks at me with a smirk and I instantly say, “No! My ass is already destroyed!!” “I didn’t say anything though.” He said putting his head on his hand and still giving me a smirk. I scoffed and kicked him in the shin. He says "ow" and grabs my foot. He then starts to tickle me. I let out a shriek and told him to stop. “Nice feet~” He said. “I hate you,” I said playfully. He chuckles and lets go of my foot. After a while we both laid down on the reclined chair to take a nap. 2 hours later, we arrived in Seattle. The city looks so beautiful. We finally land, and Henry and I looked at each other excitedly. New adventure here we come!!
