Finding Rose

"Ugh, again?" She said while gawking at the make shift cast on her arm.

Sam poked his head from out the bathroom door, and made his way in when he saw she was awake. Rosalie looked at him. He had no shirt on but had bandages wrapped around his waist where she pulled out the piece of wood.

"You ok?" She asked him.

He climbed on the bed and sat next to her. "I am now that your awake." He smiled. "You've been out for two days."

"Jesse?" She asked.

"He's alright. Mandy is with him now, probably causing more damage to him then the window did." He chuckled.

She smiled, but looked away. He could tell she was crying, and turned her to face him.

"You didn't know Rose. No one did. But we are ok, we are all almost healed, including you." He told her.

She wiped away her tears and held up her arm to him. "Is this your fancy work again?" She asked him.

"Oh com'on it's not that bad!" He said scratching the back of his head. He leaned up against the back board and she leaned into him. They stayed silent for a few minutes.

"Is he.....?" She wondered.

"Yes. You fought hard Rosalie. He won't be coming back." Sam said.

"It wasn't me who did it. It was Mandy." Rose corrected.

"Nah I wouldn't say that, you sent him to his death...Mandy.......took him for a swim." They both grinned.

"Now what do we do?" She asked. Sam looked at her, and placed a soft kiss on her lips.

"I have someone you need to meet." He got up and held out his hand for her to take. He then carried her to Henry's office, and set her down before they entered. Sam opened the door and inside sat Henry and a woman.

"Rosalie!" Henry said. He went to her and gave her a comforting hug. He stepped back and looked at the woman who looking at Rose. "Please sit down Rose." Henry pulled out a seat.

"Sam told me what happened. I'm so sorry Rose." He grabbed her hand. "Can you ever forgive me?" He asked.

"Forgive you for what?" She replied. "No one could have known what was to happen. In fact, it should be me who apologises. If it weren't for me coming here you and everyone wouldn't have been in danger." She looked at her lap.

"Well...if you wouldn't have come here, how would we have ever found your aunt." Henry said.

Rosalie looked up suddenly, looking up to Henry who was smiling. "Rose, this is your aunt Nora. Your mom's sister." Henry said. "She has travelled with me to come see you."

Nora stood up and walked around the table, where she then stood in front of Rose. Rosalie stood up and gazed upon her face.

"Hello Rosalie." Nora said.

"I know you." Rosalie said as she slowly came to recognise the woman before her.

Nora smiled as tears streamed down her face. Rosalie went to her and held her in her arms.

"I'm so sorry Rosalie, if I had of known you were alive perhaps I cou-" Rosalie cut her off.

"That doesn't matter aunt Nora. I'm here now." Said Rose.

Nora held her back and the two cried together.

"We will leave you two alone for a bit, to catch up." Henry said and he and Sam made there way out the office.

Nora sat back down as did Rose. They spent hours talking with eachother. Nora talked to her about their family and what happened after the attack on her pack. She also filled her in on the years after. Rose learned she liked to travel, and had many jobs meeting new people and seeing new places. Nothing that Rose has ever experienced. It's only been about a week since she shifted. Nora grabbed her hands.

"How would you like to come with me!?" She asked hopeful. "I think it's time for me to take some time off work and perhaps you and I can get to know eachother better." She smiled.

Rosalie smiled back in excitement, but Sam came into her mind. Something has been happening between them and she didn't want to throw that away.

"Aunt Nora. Could you let me think about it first. J....just so much has happened in such a short amount of time. They've been so helpful to me and S....Sam has be-"

Nora held up her hand and stopped her. "You take your time my darling, there's no rush and you don't need to explain anything to me. And if you decide no for the time being...you'll know where I'll be." She smiled.

"Thank you Nora." Rose hugged her again.

There was a knock at the door. It was Mandy. "Come in dear." Said Nora.

"Hello, I was just wondering if we should set up a room for you? Will you be staying awhile?" Mandy asked Nora.

Nora looked at Rose and smiled. "I think I will for a few days if you don't mind." Nora said.

"Absolutely, we would love to have you." Mandy said, then left to prepare a room.

"Listen, how bout I go get my things unpacked and you and I can have a few days together. Who knows..perhaps you might make up your mind by then." She said as she got up to leave.

She left the office, and Rosalie stayed behind just going over the last few hours in her in head. She was so thankful to have family, but deep down she knew she made a family here. Sam walked in. He looked at her while she got lost in her thoughts.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Sam said.

She looked at him and greeted him with a smile. He sat down in front of her playing with her hand. "Sam!?" She said.

"Ya? He answered calmly.

"What are you going to do now? The pack doesn't have an alpha. Are you going to be going home?" She asked.

"Actually, now that you ask. Dad and I have been discussing the next move, and it's already been decided. I'm gonna stay here." He said with a smile.

"Really!? does that mean you are taking over Alpha?" She asked him.

"God no! I feel that role is for someone more fitting." He said.

"Well if not then who?" She asked.

"Believe it or not....it will be Mandy."

She smiled. "I believe it. She will make a wonderful Alpha. So you'll be her beta?"

"Something like that. I'll be working with her. So.......thats going to be fun." He chuckled.

She grinned. He could see the wheels turning.

"Whats wrong?" He asked.

"My aunt asked me to go with her, but I don't know if I should. I mean, I feel like I've made home here, but there's also so much to experience and see, that I want to do." She felt torn, looking down to his hand on hers.

"Listen to me Rose. Whatever you decide, decide for you and you alone. I of course would hate to see you go, but I would hate it even more if you didn't have the chance to go out and see the world." He placed his hand under her chin and lifted her face to look at him.

"I love you Rosalie Winters, and however far you go....I'll find you. As you know I'm an excellent tracker." He smiled. She chuckled.

"I love you too Sam."

Rosalie and Nora spent the last few days with eachother at the pack house, and made sure to spend almost every second with Sam. They took one last run in the woods, shifted and watched the last sunset they would see together. For awhile anyways. Once they made there way back to the house, Henry was waiting for them with a packed car and Nora. Mandy and Jesse were outside to say a final goodbye aswell. She hugged them one by one. She said goodbye to Mandy first who stayed strong and presented her with a gift. They were the stilettos, that Rose couldn't bare to wear.

"For practise." Mandy said with a chuckle.

She then went to Jesse who was bawling his eyes out. She made sure to give him an extra long hug. "I won't be gone forever, so make sure you keep an eye out on everybody for me." Rose told him.

He just sniffled, and nodded. Sam wasn't going to go with them to the train station. If he'd gone, he wouldn't let her go. She hugged him and they melted into eachother.

"You make sure to come find me." She whispered in his ear. She felt a tear from him on her cheek. "I love you." She said.

"I love you." Sam replied and they had their final kiss goodbye.

She stepped back and took a final look at everyone before taking her seat in the car. Nora went in after her and held her hand.

"You ready for an adventure of a lifetime?" Nora asked.

Henry took off driving. Rose looked back through the rear window as her friends were getting further away from her. She turned to Nora.

"I'm ready."
