“Samson!” Camila was certain that the man was Samson. Why else would the man avoid her? Camila noticed the elevator had stopped on the first floor and immediately ran down the stairs.
However, when she reached the first floor, Samson was long gone.
The hospital called and notified Camile that Gemma’s surgery was pushed off indefinitely. Gemma couldn’t have the surgery unless Camila paid the bill.
Camila hurried over to the hospital.

The moment Camila left Startak Gaming, Maxwell called the front desk. He let out a long sigh after hearing that Camila was here for Samson. He told the receptionist
that she was fired.
He then called HR and told them to cut Samson’s pay in half and demoted Samson
to the administrator of the control room.
Samson was upset about the pay cut. But then he received a call from HR, notifying him about the demotion and pay cut. Samson’s face immediately
darkened.
He had half a heart of quitting. But Samson remembered that he had bragged to Mackenzie about his new job. He didn’t dare to tell her that he lost his job.
Samson contemplated for a long time. In the end, he had to accept the truth and
went to the control room.
When Camila arrived at the hospital, she tried calling Dewitt. But he didn’t pick up. So, Camila went to the doctor’s office directly.

Dewitt had enough. He opened the door and tried to leave.
Chloe stood in front of the door. “Dewitt, let it have it out. Do you like me or not? If you do, please stop stringing me along. If you don’t…”
“Chloe, be professional. We’re at work. I can tell you that I like someone. We won’t be an item,” Dewitt said clearly.
“No way. Whom do you like?” Chloe stopped Dewitt.

“No! How could you not like me? You treated me so well. Were those all an act?” Chloe yelled hysterically, “Is it the patient’s granddaughter? You only met once. We had been classmates for three years. We’ve known each other for three years…”

Dewitt pushed the door open forcefully. Camila had bumped into Dewitt.
Dewitt was taken aback. As he was about to say something, Chloe followed him
out.
The second Chloe saw Camila, Chloe snapped.
“You again? Why do you pester Dr. Booker? If you have time to seduce men, you should use it to find money.”
“Chloe, stop your nonsense or I’ll go to the president!” Dewitt stormed out.
Chloe grew angrier. Despite they had attracted a lot of audience, Chloe shouted at Camila.
“Listen, your grandma won’t be able to have the surgery unless you make the full payment.”

Chloe ignored Camile. Chloe did it to show Dewitt that without her support, Dewitt couldn’t even arrange surgery for his patients.
Camila begged for a long time, but Chloe didn’t listen. Camila had to gain enough money as soon as possible.
Camila went to her house. Since she couldn’t find Samson at his workplace, she
decided to wait for him in front of the house.
Someone came back after sunset.
But it wasn’t Samson. A family of three had come. And Camila didn’t know them.
When the woman took out a key to open the door, Camila ran over and asked, “Excuse me. I’m the owner of this house. Where did you get the keys to this
house?”
“You’re the owner?” The woman was shocked. “I don’t think so. Mr. Lister told us that he was the owner yesterday. He showed us the certificate.”
“He has the certificate?” Camila couldn’t believe her ears. “No way.”
“That’s the truth. Ask my husband. Both of us have seen it,” the woman said surely.
“So, you rented this house, right?”
“Yes. Mr. Lister said that he needed cash and he would give us a discount if we paid one year’s rent in advance.
“We gave him 10,000 dollars. He signed the lease and gave us the keys right away.”
Camila felt her blood run cold and her head started spinning. Samson faked a certificate and leased her house out.
“I’m sorry. But you can’t go in now.” Camila stood in front of the door and took out her phone to call the police.
The man noticed it and immediately slapped Camila’s phone out of her hand. “Who are you? Who gives you the right to stop us?”
“I’m the house’s owner.”

The man rudely yanked Camila’s collar and threw her aside.
The three people entered the house and locked the door.
Camila panicked and started knocking frantically.

“Listen. The certificate Samson showed you is fake. I’m the owner of this house. You can check with the authorities.
“My grandma is in hospital. I need to sell the house to save her life. She won’t live another month if I can’t pay for her surgery.
“Please, I’m begging you.
“I understand that you’re victims too. But you can report it to the police and let them handle it. I can’t sell the house to save my grandma if you keep on hoarding
it…”
Camila grew more agitated. Her shout attracted more and more people.
In the end, someone called the police for the noise. Camila was taken to the
station.
Camila finally calmed down a little after she was at the police station.
The policeman questioned Camila. They deemed Camila was emotionally unstable. She had to call a family member to pick her up.
Camila had no choice but to call Maxwell.
Luckily, Maxwell answered her call quickly.
In less than 15 minutes, Maxwell came to the police station.
Camila was surprised that Maxwell came over so soon.
“Are you hurt?” As soon as Maxwell entered the station, people in the room found that it was harder to breathe.
Hearing Maxwell’s caring words, Camila broke down. Her eyes became red- rimmed.

Maxwell kept a gloomy look on his face. It was until the senior officer said something that Maxwell had a small smile.
At that moment, Camila saw the family of three taken to the station in a police car.
