Teverius was having the sweetest dream.
Serdephe’s flesh was hot and sweating. She undid the laces of her corset and freed her ample breasts. Lifting his hands to mold on them.
Stimulating them made him respond more aggressively beneath her.
She moaned spurring him on. Caressing her hands over his chest and down his abdomen. Reaching back as she exaulted in a shout of climax. Raking her fingernails down his thighs.
He groaned in response and lurched to a sitting position. Not done with her yet.
Not willing for this moment to end. Countless times he’d fantasized of this. Considered how she’d feel. How passionately she’d respond to every of his caresses. But she’s surpassing them all.
“Ser.”
“My Wolf!” She grunted. Taking him even more fully. Meeting his in heated excitement.
Just as he reached climax he reflexively felt his teeth adjust and sunk sharpened canines into the top of her shoulder. Biting deeply. As he lurched up into her.
When he roared and fell back, sated beyond imagining.
He saw her staring startled as she touched her injured shoulder and looked at her hand in the dark.
“What’d you do?” She rolled off him and collected her wrap to pull it over her.
Blinking blearily he scrubbed his eyes. Then realization dawned. This was no dream.
“You came in here while I was in Knight Sleep?”
“I don’t know what it is. You were sleeping incredibly deeply. Then you woke up and it was very pleasurable until you attacked me? Why’d you do that?”
He rolled from his bed and ran around it to catch her shoulders. His eyes flicking to glowing blue-white so he could see the wound. Seeing she wasn’t seriously hurt he lightly shook her. “What’ve you done?”
“I don’t know!”
“I thought I was dreaming!”
“You weren’t. It was wondrous and beautiful.”
“You came in without my consent.” His eyes roved her face.
Tell me this isn’t happening. I’m merely dreaming.
“I’d thought to surprise you. Why’d you bite me?”
“Serdephe…” He breathed. Rubbing his palms down his face and deflating. “Now we’re linked.” He slid naked into the nearest chair.
“What does that mean? From loving.”
“No! It’s beyond that. We’re mated.”
“Mated?” She cried. “Why am I getting the senses it means more than the act we just did.”
“It means are spirits are not intertwined.”
She shook her head in confusion. “I’m not understanding what you’re saying.”
“I’m saying you’re now as immortal as me. I’ve shared it with you.”
She smiled. “That doesn’t sound so bad.”
“It is! It now means that when I’m hurt you’ll be. If I were to die, you would.” He swore. “What have we done. I’d never have-”
“Does that mean if I’m harmed, you’ll suffer?”
“Yes!”
Howling throughout the Netherlands indicated other Forever Knights sensed it. Their celebratory cries. Not knowing this was an accident. A mistake.
Teverius felt the heat around his eyes. Indicating the flare of the seal.
Intertwined forever.
“Serdephe, there was a reason I’d not have you. That I didn’t want to take you.”
“Why?”
“I wanted to take our time. I wanted you to be sure…”
“You’re not sure you want me?”
“I am. But you have much life yet!”
“I want you! Only you!”
“Serdephe you’re barely thirty. Hardly a blink in Ardae.”
“Old enough, My Wolf. You just proved that.”
Tev flushed in shame. I suppose I’ve no business talking to her of naivete any longer.
“Not altogether my fault, Ser!”
“Not altogether not.” She countered.
Touche.
“Dammit!” He rubbed his temples against a sudden headache.
