From Here to Ecstasy
Chapter 27 - Out of Body Experience

Recap:

Asher, Ander, and I went back to our own bodies. All three of us took a huge gulp of air, causing my mom’s eye’s to narrow on Asher and Ander. Oops, they weren’t as sneaky as they thought they were.

Autumn's POV

Busted.

“Oh, for Goddess’s sake. Why didn’t you tell me you two were going to help? Look at you, you can barely keep your eyes open. Blaine, can you please teleport a few more bags of glucose? I need to give these pups their shot of energy in their sippy cups,” my mom said as she sighed, knowing my brothers would do whatever they needed to do.

The doctor showed up next to me, my hand shooting out and wrapping around his throat. “Your mom did it, not me.” He held his hands up as I pulled my hand away from him. “Everything is fixed. He should wake up soon and we will know the extent of his healing.”

“Did you see his broken bone in his lower leg on an x-ray?” I questioned him as I cut my eyes over to him.

“Yeah. I said he had broken legs.”

“No. This bone was broken before he ever shifted. It’s what’s causing nerve damage to his system, well, along with all the other stuff we fixed. I’m sure it was a shock to his system,” I explained my findings as I watched the doctor’s face.

“It showed as a broken bone, but with the outdated equipment here it was hard to tell how old the break was,” the doctor explained.

“I know when he broke his leg,” Kaiden quietly said as all of us turn toward him, hearing him clearly.

“When? Why wasn’t I told?” My mom questioned Kaiden, her arms across her chest, and she stared him dead on.

“Uh, uh, we were trying to fly.” He cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his neck. “We didn’t want you to know in case you spanked us again.” Kaiden’s head was hung low, his cheeks were bright red.

“I can still spank both of you. I should have been told he had a broken bone, Kaiden. What did you break?” S~ᴇaʀᴄh the (ꜰind)ɴʘvel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“Nothing. I could teleport before Griffith could,” he answered, a crooked smile on his face, making all us laugh except our mom.

“What did you do, have Griffith fly because you could? Were you hoping his powers would kick and save him?” Kaiden ducked his head. “You did, didn’t you? You told him you could fly and he could too, didn’t you?” I asked, knowing he did what I said. “You must have been scared when he fell. I would have cried like a baby.”

“I tried to set it myself. I thought I had gotten it right. I don’t know how he could walk when I knew he was in pain. He never complained about it. He must have thought I would have laughed at him. I should have taken him to the doctor as soon as it happened,” Kaiden quietly said, almost to himself as he scuffed his foot on the floor.

I walked over and hugged him, knowing full well that he was sorry for his actions. I also knew Griffith would have never blamed him. He was too smart. He wanted a rush. He was always a daredevil. He liked things fast, his car, his computer, and even his feet as he ran. The boy loved everything fast.

“I should spank your asses for your foolishness, but I will let it go.” She smirked at Kaiden. “But, I will let your children know all the things you did when you were little. See how you like them acting like you when you were small.” We all laughed, teasing him about how bad he was as a child. Kaiden’s eyes had widened so much, his jaw was hanging down.

He snapped his mouth shut and cleared his throat. “Uh, that’s okay, Mom, I’m sure any children we have will hell on wheels. You don’t need to have a talk with them.”

I shook my head at Kaiden, knowing his children would be having a talk with their grandma, excuse me, their nana. She didn’t want to be called grandma. She was too young to be called a grandma, plus, we already had a grandma. She had told us over and over to never call her grandma, only making me want to call her just that. I’m sure the back of my head will be whacked, but it would be funny and a little painful. The pain I could handle for the one time I told her that.

We all got quiet and looked at Griffith. I wanted to go back in and see if I could figure out a way to fix his nerve damage better. I wasn’t sure how he was living with the pain, but Griffith has always been the quiet one, a man who could take a lot of pain to his body, heart, and mind. He’s a very strong man, I'm wasn't talking about his muscle strength, but in spirit, mind, and body. Although, he was strong in muscle strength. He would fight with our dads so he could put on muscle. He wanted to look like our dads. They were ripped, shredded. All the women would stare at them, well, unless mom was around.

I walked back over to Micah and sat in his lap. I left my body, knowing Micah and Winter would protect me as I tried to heal Griffith. I went straight to his leg and searched around to see what I could do to help him. I noticed he had a bone chip stuck in his leg sideways. I wanted to see if I take it away or guide it back into the bone the right way. The bone chip was up against a nerve and I was sure it was causing his nerves to go haywire. It was the only thing it could be. How in the hell did he walk on this leg without being in severe pain?

I shook myself out of my mind, well, the thoughts out of mind. Whatever. I don’t have a body right now to shake myself. I coaxed the bone chip as I looked around it to see where the chip came from. It took me longer than I thought it would find the right place and I could feel myself weakening, well, until I felt Asher join me. We worked together and knitted the bone back stronger than before. We checked the nerves in his leg next. I wanted to see if he had better blood flow. I was thrown back into my body quickly, not understanding what was going on.

I took a huge gulp of air, Ander doing the same. Our mom was looking at us as if we were aliens. I didn’t care. I needed to find out why I was thrown out of Griffith’s body.

“Holy shit! Get the doctor now!” I yelled.
