From Here to Ecstasy
Chapter 53 - Spill

Recap

Her dad blushed, causing Willow, her mom and I to laugh. I had never seen a grown man blush. But, I knew Willow was like her dad, too. She looked a lot like her mom, but she had her dad’s eyes and hair color. She got her face shape from her mother, thank the Goddess.

“I have a question.” We all looked at Willow. “How in the hell did I growl so loud?”

Willow’s POV

“Good question, Willow,” Griffith commented as he looked towards her parents. Sᴇaʀch Thᴇ FindNøvᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

My mom, Chara, had tears in her eyes as she reached over and pulled me into a hug. “We need to talk but in the office, okay?” My mom whispered, looking between me and Griffith. We nodded and followed Griffith into the packhouse. We walked up the stairs and made our way to the office, shutting the door as soon as we were all in.

I was worried that something was wrong with me. I couldn’t figure out why my mom would want to speak to us in the privacy of our office. My heart was pounding in my chest and I could hear a little bit of ringing in my ears. I knew I was having a panic attack, but I couldn’t help it. I couldn’t take a breath in. It was as if someone was holding me underwater and I couldn’t move above the waterline. I started seeing black spots and shaking my head wasn’t helping them to clear up.

I felt Griffith move towards me, making me breathe a little easier and my heart to flutter. I knew he could feel my panic through our bond, well, I remembered he could feel it just now. I didn’t mean to worry him and cause him to tense up.

“Are you okay?” Griffith asked me as he kissed my forehead and wrapped his arms around me. “Breath, honey. Follow my breathing pattern and calm down.

I breathed in deep, gasping for as much as air as I could get. My heart was trying to match Griffith’s beat. After what seemed like forever, my breathing was back to normal. My heartbeat matched Griffith’s and the black spots were gone.

“Thanks, Griffith. I was panicking about if there was something wrong with me,” I whispered as I looked down in embarrassment.

Griffith lifted my head and pecked my lips. “Don’t borrow trouble where there is none, okay?”

I nodded and looked at my parents as I leaned against Griffith. “Alright, we’re in the office, so spill.”

“When our pack was attacked the first time we went out to warn the other packs about what was happening. The bruja and skin-walker are trying to take over the state one town at a time. They are wanting to subjugate humans for food and wipe out any other supernatural species, using us as sacrifices. It will help them make more skin-walkers, using all the witches. What they don’t know is the only people who can be skin-walkers are bruja’s, Native American Indians. If they use regular witches they will only kill them.” My mom took a breath as her shoulders dropped.

“The fucker blocked your Alpha gene, using a witch. But, not just a witch but a bruja. We don’t know how you are breaking through the spell. The only way to get the spell to drop from you is for the bruja to do it. The fucker was afraid you would order his men to let you go if you used your Alpha voice on them,” my dad explained as he rubbed my mother’s shoulders.

“You are stronger than you think. Your grandmother was an elemental witch, a good one. I don’t understand how you are breaking the spell on your own,” my mom confessed, a confused look on her face.

“I have an idea,” Griffth hinted as we all turned towards him. “You are coming into your powers from my side of the family, plus, you are a witch and a werewolf - which means your power will be stronger than normal. You haven’t come into all your power yet. We are more powerful than my parents. Our pups will be more powerful than us and so on.”

My eyes almost popped out of my head, noticing my parents were gobsmacked, too. “How many powers do you think I will get?”

Griffith shrugged. “My grandmother is full of surprises. She seems to know what we will need in our lives and gives our mates the power we will need as something comes at us.” Griffith stopped and looked up at the ceiling, all three of us following his example. “Grandma, I need to talk to you!”

We jumped when we heard a loud boom from the room next door to the office we were in. It was so loud it knocked pictures and books off the shelves in the office. We ran out of the office but stopped when we heard laughing coming from behind us.

“Mom, you’re tearing up my packhouse and yard,” Griffith whined, sounding as if he were two-years-old.

“Oops.”

We heard another crash coming from our office. We walked back to the office, a look of confusion and horror on our faces, Griffith’s mom snickering. My parents immediately knelt down, their heads bowed, while Griffth and stood looking at her with our mouth agape.

“Oops,” the Moon Goddess parroted Griffith’s mom’s words.

“Grandma, you burnt a lot of my paperwork and destroyed my desk,” Griffith said as he surveyed the office.

She let out a huff, making me giggle. I watched as she snapped her fingers and everything was back to what it looked like before.

“Wow, Griffith.” I pointed to his paperwork. “Our grandma signed all the paperwork you had left to do.”

“Okay, Grandma, you’re off the hook,” Griffith jokingly said. “But, quit tearing shit up, please.”

“I will. Chara and Achelois, please stand. You don’t need to bow to me. Your family,” the Moon Goddess told my parents as she smiled at me.

“Okay, Griffith, you bellowed out my name. Ask your question,” the Moon Goddess stated as she walked over and hugged my mate.

“Can you tell us how many more powers Willow will get?” Griffith asked.
