From Here to Ecstasy
Chapter 76 - Never Unseen

Recap

“Okay, Windy, the floors all yours,” Trace informed me, a silly grin on his face. I appreciated the way he lightened up the mood of the room.

Too bad it wasn't going to stay that way.

I opened and closed my mouth several times, clearing my throat twice after.

Windy’s POV

I didn’t know how to tell them about my visions without them asking a million questions before I got a couple of sentences out of my mouth. I knew my family. I knew how fast they threw out their questions. They had the equivalent of word vomit. And, they couldn’t help themselves.

I looked at Sonny, my eyes pleading for help. I wasn’t sure if he could tell I was scared. He seemed to be lost in conversation with someone and I knew it wasn’t with anyone in the room, so that left one person.

Grandma.

“Wow, you didn’t tear up shit this time,” my dad, Blaine, joked, startling me out of head.

I watched as dad's face paled to chalk-white when she narrowed her eyes at him. My grandma looked at my dad and raised an eyebrow. “I’ve been practicing,” she said haughtily.

It was all it took for us to laugh. I was thankful for the comedy relief and all but I still needed to figure out a way to tell them about my visions. I knew my family. I knew they would want to do, but this needed to be timed exactly right or we lose our loved ones, and it was something unacceptable to me. There was no way in hell or heaven I would let it happen to them or our pack.

I noticed we had walked to the dining hall while I was all up in my head. I knew I needed to eat. I was shaking from shifting, my new powers, and finally my precognitive visions. I was running on fumes and I knew it. I sat down and filled my plate, staring at the food as if it was the most interesting thing in the world.

"Hey, Sonny, can I talk to you after we eat? I need help with something,” I asked him through my wolf.

"Absolutely. You know I’ve always been there for you. You can tell me all of it or nothing at all. I’ll tell mom and our dads that I wanted to talk to you before we left for the castle.”

I nodded, happy to know I could count on my family. I was very close to Sonny. I didn’t know if it had to do with us being twins or the fact we shared a bond through our precognitive visions. I didn’t care either way. I sometimes forgot we were twins. We weren’t identical twins. Sonny had brown hair with blonde mixed in, looking as if he had put a highlighter in his hair. I, on the other hand, had hair that was blonde but was it almost white. I tried coloring it one time but my hair wouldn’t take the color. The only thing of color I could put in my hair was those sprays girls used to change the tips of their hair.

I looked down at my plate and noticed I had eaten everything on it. I was still hungry but I wasn’t sure if I could keep anything down. I was nervous about my talk with Sonny but I needed his opinion on how to break the news to our parents. I knew he was smart and could figure out anything quickly. He looked at all sides before he thought of what action to take - something that would help with his Kingly duties. I knew I needed to step up my game. I needed to be on high alert at the castle if I wanted to protect Sonny. I needed training. Serious training. But, I had a feeling Star would know how to fight. Of course, I could look at her and see her cocky face, a face looking at me as if I was stupid and said 'duh'. Okay then, questioned answered.

Windy, are you still hungry? You’ve been staring at the cake on the table as if it was going to attack you,” Sonny joked as he turned his body towards me, blocking our parents from seeing us. “Are you ready to go talk?” I nodded and stood up, catching my mom's face.

Her pouting face.

I almost rolled my eyes. I knew she was wanting to know what was going on. She had to know Sonny and I would talk first. It had always been our way. I trust my family, but I didn’t know how they were going to take my visions. I was scared, nervous, worried, and sick at my stomach. I wasn’t sure if my lunch was going to stay down or not. I could feel Sonny rubbing my back as he could feel my anxiety. He probably could, being the King and all.

I walked into my room and we immediately spelled the room, soundproofing it from unwanted ears. I added another spell to block anyone from teleporting into the room, grabbing Trace and Chase, and putting them in the hall. I shook my head at their antics. I shut the door and locked it.

I watched as Sonny scooped up Ander and Asher, taking them to the door and gently sitting them outside, a stern look on his face. I wanted to laugh but I could see his bemused face as he turned and locked the door.

I walked over and sat on my bed, Sonny following me. “Okay, I’m not sure how to tell you, so I’m going to show you the two visions, okay?”

“Are you sure you want to show me, Windy?” Sonny nervously asked.

I squeezed his hands. “What I’m about to show can never be unseen, but I do want you to help me on how to proceed.”

I heard an okay as I laid back on my bed, taking Sonny with me. I didn’t want his head to spin as he looked at the vision. I knew it was hard on my body and didn’t know what it would do to a King. I was uncertain if this was the right thing to do or not. I knew something in my gut was urging me to share this with him. And, I always listened to my gut.

Here goes nothing.

I started the vision out slowly, feeling Sonny’s body jerk in surprise.
