Meeting Biological Father

Felix’s father called and left a brief message to call him back whenever he had the time. He wanted to talk to him about some things and set up a meeting in person. When Felix got the message, he called his father to set up an appointment in a neutral place where nobody could bother them.

“Dad, what is this all about, and who are these people?”

“We have something to talk about, and it probably will set you off, but please keep in mind that this is on some people over which we cannot control.”

“This is Alpha Louka and his son Blaze, now the Alpha of the Grimrail Growler pack.”

They said their pleasantries by shaking each other’s hands. Felix noticed that he looked awful, like Louka and his son Blaze. His mind was working overtime thinking about what was going to happen. He had a gut feeling about how this would go down but would stay to watch it all happen.

“Felix, I knew your mother before she and your father were together. My father banned her from our pack as she was a pack whore, and before her and if finished our mating process. I knew she was pregnant with a pup, and so did my mom, but my father did not have it. She was his fated mate, and he never bothered to take her on because he could not stand her. I never knew this when she and I were together; otherwise, I would have never touched her.”

“I never told him until a couple of days ago that you are, in fact, mine and Libby’s son. I have watched you grow up and have taken many videos and pictures of you throughout your life. My mate did the same when I was away on pack business. Your grandfather forbade us to be together as we should have. I kept it a secret from my father because I did not know what he would do to you, and I had to keep you a secret from the family until recently.”

“I knew dad was not my real father; I could tell we did not look alike. I am pissed at Mom for not being honest, but not at Dad. He treated me better than Mom and tried to raise me well, and I was his son in his eyes.”

“I never took Libby as my mate because she lied to me from day one. But I knew I had to raise you, but I knew it would be hard to take you away from her. I lost that battle many times because she wanted power, no matter who it was or how she got it. I did my best to keep you from her, but it wasn't easy. I did what I could, never losing touch with you and guiding you the best I could.”

They sat around and talked for a while as the meeting went well for everyone. Felix got to know his half-brother and his biological father, and soon they were setting up a day and time when he could visit to meet the rest of his family. Finally, something that had a meaning that he never got. He was very thankful for his dad, that raised him. He was to go to the pack in a couple of days, and he was ecstatic about it.

They left their meeting spot and walked off, but he saw his mate walking towards him as he walked out. He looked at his phone, not seeing a meeting time with her, but he jogged up to her anyway, taking the extra opportunity to be with his mate. The band was getting more robust, and it would be disastrous if either rejected the other. He was starting to have feelings for her and did not know how to handle them, but he spoke to his fathers’ about the bond and how it affects each other.

“What are you doing out here by yourself, my love?”

“I had this feeling that you needed me; I had to come and see you for myself. Are you okay? Does anything happen to you? I feel your emotions are all over the place.”

He hugged her and held onto her inhaling her scent of raspberries and daisies, and he could not get enough of it, of her. He wanted to mate and mark her right then and there but knew he could not do it. He also knew she would be his redemption, and he would do everything in his power to become the person and Alpha she needed starting that very minute.

“I met up with some family members. My dad is not my biological father, but I met him and my brother, the Alpha of the Grimtail Growler pack. They are amazing; my dad and stepmom never missed everything I did. They were always there in the background taking videos and pictures of everything I did.”

“You sound pleased about it; it’s like you have a ton of bricks taken off your shoulders. How do you feel about it? I mean, this has Libby written all over it?”

“Yeah, I am beginning to hate her and...Can you get me to see the princess and her mate? I need to talk to them as soon as possible.”

“I will try and call you when I set the date and time.”

“Thank you, my love. Now get going; it’s getting late, and I do not want you out here by yourself.”

She hugged and kissed him, which turned out to be a passionate kiss that lingered, sending her hormones into a frenzy. He broke away, taking a breath that they needed. He swatted her butt and sent her off. She let her wolf take over so they could return to the pack. They were both very giddy after they met with Felix. Her wolf got to speak to him, telling her that he was a good person just raised by Libby and she was the one who mastered mind all the attacks and was following orders with no emotions whatsoever. She needed to get a hold of the princess and tell her what she found out. She would do anything to help Felix’s case. She could not be without him and could not break their bond. She would go rogue to be with him.

Once back at her house, she ran inside to her bedroom, took a shower, then headed back to the kitchen to help her mom cook dinner, cut vegetables and fruits, and set the table for them. She kept smiling and humming a song, and her parents looked at her quizzically, not understanding her sudden change in mood. “Shelby, what is going on? You have been humming and smiling.”

“Uhh... Dad, I need to talk with Princess Clara and Xavior immediately. Could you get me to see her, please?”

“I will talk to them, but what is this about?”

“I just need to talk to them, please?”

“I will see her in the morning at training and ask them if they will speak with you.”

“Thanks, Dad.”

They retired to their rooms and got ready for bed. The training started at six am, and they needed to get some sleep. Shelby woke up early and prepared for her training; her father did the same, and they decided to make breakfast before leaving for the training grounds. She was excited about today, and she told her father not to forget to get an appointment with the princess asap, preferably today.

They walked to the training grounds, and he went to his group of people, and she went to hers. He saw Xavior and motioned him to come over so that he could talk to him about his daughter.

“Alpha, my daughter wants to talk to you and Princess Clara as soon as possible. I do not know why, as she did not tell us last night at supper.”

“I think we can talk to her around eleven this morning; just make sure she is there on time, and I will let the princess know we are to have a guest.”

“Thank you, Alpha Xavior. I will let Shelby know, and she will be there.”

He nodded and got into training with his Beta, letting him know Shelby would speak with them at eleven later that morning. Clara comes back from her training with her siblings. She meets up with Xander and Dunken taking them both on by surprise, and they start sparing full force and then turn into their beasts and finish training that way. An audience watched them train as they were all in awe of how their princess danced around getting her mate and his Beta. When they finished, they put on their clothes and drank water.

“Clara, Shelby is coming at eleven today to talk to us. Not sure what it is about, neither did her father.”

“Okay then, we better get inside, get cleaned up, and we will have lunch brought in so she can feel a little bit more comfortable and not like we are attacking her.”

“Sounds good to me, darling, but first things first.”

He grabbed her up and threw her over his shoulder, running to their suite stripping her clothes off her, and taking his clothes off him, he ran some bath water and added salts and minerals that would relax their muscles as they worked hard in training. He was very excited about the training they had today. He washed the sweat out of her hair and body, and she did the same to him. They soaked for a bit, not wanting to get out, but they had pressing matters to attend to shortly.

When they left their rooms, they met up with Dunken, and he was rubbing his belly, telling it to shut up; it would be fed shortly. All their tummies growled simultaneously, and they laughed in the kitchen. They gathered some water to take back to her soon-to-be office and asked the staff to make lunch for five to be brought to the office around eleven fifteen.

“Shelby, you must leave now to make it to the castle in time. Get a move on. Let’s go.”

“Coming, father, thanks for doing this; Dad is getting me the appointment.”

“Did you eat?”

“Breakfast; I will grab lunch on the way back; bye, guys.”

“Well, she took too fast. I was going to go with her.”

“Get in the car and go then.”

“No, she needs to do this. She is an adult. We cannot do everything for her.”

Shelby is too excited and makes it to the castle with fifteen minutes to spare. One of the staff showed her to the office and told her to wait inside and that one of them would be there in a moment. Xavior and Dunken walked in first as Clara had to return to her suite since she had forgotten some files, her phone, and her notepad. She entered the office, sitting her things on her desk, looking over to Shelby, and smiling.

“Hang on, guys. I will be right over. So what is it that you wanted to talk to us about?”

“I saw Felix yesterday and learned some things I think you should know.”

“Tell us, what about him that we do not already know.”

“It is something that he needs to tell you, and he wants to come to see you and tell you himself. But as for me, our wolves spoke to each other. She told me what his wolf said. Please hear us out?”

“Go ahead. Is your wolf going to speak on his behalf?”

“Yes, she will; she may speak the broken language, but please be patient.”

She let her wolf come forth to speak and told them what her mate had said. “He is innocent. He was under the spells and notions of Libby; he had no emotions nor knew exactly what he was doing. His eyes were very hollow and showed no emotions in his eyes. He was merely a robot his mother controlled when she wanted to take power away from other packs.”

They looked at each other before saying anything; there was a knock on the door. Dunken got up, letting the staff come in with lunch. They set it up on the side so that they can serve themselves. It was more of a buffet-style setup since it was a small meeting. They could hear each other’s tummy rumbling in protest of no food.

“While they are setting up lunch, let your wolf speak now.”

“His wolf said it was Libby who suppressed him, the true him, and made attacks on the other packs. She was always there with him when he did those awful things. He hated Libby and what she has done to the were kingdoms, and how she made him split the packs up, forcing them to become rogues.”

“Thank you for telling us this; we will take this into consideration.”

Shelby returned to the front, looking at the people before her. Her eyes were wide with the wonder of their thoughts about what was told. She did not know what his wolf had told her because she did not tell her what was said.

“Let’s grab some lunch; then we will continue our meeting when finished.”

While eating, they talked about the pack, life, and what Shelby planned to do since meeting Felix. She needed to figure out where they stood or whether she should reject him. But she could see the changes in him for the better, but he had a lot to work out.

“Felix wants to meet with you all and talk about whatever he has done. He could have explained more, so I wonder. I told him I would get back to him.”

“We can meet with him the day after tomorrow at ten am. You may join your mom and dad if you would like. Just let us know who will be coming. Now tell us what you know.”

She told them what she felt this last time when she met him. Something made him seem lighter when she had seen him the day before. She thanked them for their time this late morning, and they did the same in return for lunch. She got up and left the house, and as soon as she did, she texted Felix letting him know he had a meeting with them, her, and her parents the day after tomorrow at ten am. He responded with a thank you, x.
