Galactic: The Superhuman Robot
Chapter 10: Galactic Lectures on the Big Bang Theory

Galactic: “Today we’ll be discussing the Big Bang Theory. It’s a scientific theory and leading explanation about how the universe started.

Student: “That’s a funny name. It isn’t relating to sex, is it?”

Galactic: “Very funny. Let’s all laugh.”

Galactic continues. “The universe began as a very hot, small dense singularity, with no stars, atoms, or form. It’s approximately 13.8 billion years old. The Milky Way Galaxy is approximately 13.7 billion years old.

In the first second after the universe began the temperature was ten million degrees F. The cosmos contained fundamental particles such as neutrons, electrons and protons. These combined as the universe cooled.

The universe is expanding and getting faster as it inflates. In time, no one will be able to see other galaxies from Earth.

Some scientists believe in the multiverse model, that is different universes could coexist with each other like bubbles lying side by side.

Any questions so far?”

Student: “What other theories are there, the Small Bang theory?”

Galactic: “What’s that theory about?”

Student: “I have no idea.”

Galactic: “Then be quiet and listen. The oscillating universe is the belief is that we live in a cosmos that goes through cycles of inflation and deflation. The universe could have existed forever but when it deflates (referred to as the Big Crunch), it becomes a singularity and begins to inflate again.”

Another Student: “That’s amazing. Will we ever find out which theory is the correct one?”

Galactic: “It’s possible. There’s an alternative explanation beside those theories, such as eternal inflation.”

Another Student: “And what is that?

Galactic: “Google it.”

Galactic lectures for another half hour, and then dismisses the class. Sᴇaʀch Thᴇ FɪndNovᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
