Zion POV
Seeing her most glorious form, I was fighting Zeus for control. I need to be next to her. Zeus is also fighting back control, he wanted to make sure that she wasn’t hurt. Zeus has been very quiet about my thoughts on Azah. So why care now? Her hiding the sun from the sky had us mind linking Yehu to see if he saw her. Using that much power to hide the Sun takes a lot on the vessel. I was concerned, Zeus was concerned. Leaving myself with no other choice, I left the scene to look for her. I shifted, not caring who will see us.
She needs us.
I knew Yeshua was probably near her already, but…
She needed us. Zeus repeated my same thought.

My howl is heard, cutting all ties to whoever is trying to link me. I need to focus on her right now.
“I’ll take her to my aunt’s place.” Yeshua volunteers.
Fuck. No. Zeus isn’t having any of that. I flash my eyes in anger at him, I’ve never done this to Yeshua. He backs away slowly at first in shock.
“No, she goes back to my house. Call her mom to my place.” I commend in my Alpha tone.
“Her mom will be worried, Zion. She’s just…”
Zeus taking control “I’m not here to argue Yeshua.”
Yeshua is a Blue Wolf, although his rank is to serve as a guardian, he is still a special kind of wolf that can easily decide to challenge my command. He is a Moons. Moons do not have to follow direct orders from the Alpha. But to make peace, they willingly do so. I can see him and Yehu discussing this matter carefully. They don’t want to challenge me but if they do, they know Zeus in this state will not step down easily.
“Is she your mate?” Yeshua suddenly asks.
“What?”
Fuck Zeus is she? Zeus didn’t have an answer to this question. Alphas are quick to know their mate before anyone else. So why are we acting like this, and if she isn’t….Does it even matter? We’ll make her ours if that’s the case, I’ll reject any other mate that’s not her.
Yeshua asked again “ Zion. Is she your mate?”
Feeling distressed to even utter a simple word… Anger and pain rushing through... I have never felt this out of control since the day I found out I will become Alpha instead of my brother. Closing my hands into a fist and shutting my eyes in anger. The balls that this man had right now. The fucking audacity to make ME this mad. I’m not one to get upset this easily, it’s usually Zeus but this anger is ALL MINE.
“Yeshua? I gave a commend.” I’m trying as hard as I can to control the temper in my voice. I have done it many times before, why is it so hard now?
“ALPHA Zion?” Yeshua has never called me by my formally ranked name. I didn’t miss his emphasis on “Alpha.” Usually, it’s his wolf Yehu that does so.
We are both playing a very cautious yet passive tug of war. We can’t afford to let our misunderstanding take over. We both have to think about this carefully. It’s hard when he has a stubborn ancient wolf and Zeus, a short-tempered Alpha. I will not say it aloud. I just can’t, and it’s pissing me off more knowing this. Knowing she isn’t mine.
“She called for me, both her spirit and Azah called for ME.”
Gently picking her up and waiting to see if Yeshua will move out of the way. For what felt like forever he finally breaks eye contact and follows me behind.

Placing her on my bed, Hyun-Jae checks on her. She helped me change her clothes the last time, so she was more than willing to help out again.
After finishing up I gently tucked her in and closed the bedroom door.
In the living room are Michael, Josiah, Saul, and Yeshua. Yeshua and I aren’t on speaking terms right now as the tension between us thickens. He informed me that her parents are coming soon. Very rudely reminding me that his aunt isn’t one to care about my Alpha status.
“If she sees it fit to attack you, don’t expect me to come to your defence.″ Yeshua said with a firm face as he sat down.
“Why are we here? And why is Azah here at your place again?” Leave it to Josiah to go straight to the point.
“Yeshua?” Michael asked.
Yeshua snorts and says “Your ALPHA here is acting like Azah is his mate.”
“Ye, let’s be civil here,” Saul said while trying to calm his mate down.
Tossing my hair in annoyance. I finally spoke and said “Listen, guys, I don’t know why. Zeus has been quiet on this question but has also been very possessive. He won’t let her go. I won’t let her go.”
“Can it be that the Blue Moon is coming to an effect this week?” Hyun-Jae came from the kitchen.
“You guys are in high ranks which makes you in more need of a female companion. Your mate. Maybe your wolf is tired of waiting for his true mate.”
“NO!”
Hyun-Jae was shaken by my sudden uproar. Josiah rises from his seat and quickly heads to his mate Hyun-Jae to protect. They don’t understand, both Josiah and Yeshua don’t understand because they had no trouble in finding their mate. They didn’t have to wait this long. Only Michael could understand this feeling. He is my last hope in this.
“Michael.”
He looked at me briefly before breaking contact, he understands exactly what I am feeling. I took a deep breath in and exhaled heavily. He understood. I’m not going crazy. Michael looked above at the glass roof when he broke his silence, “Yeshua, Josiah, Saul and Hyun-Jae.”
“Stop your bullshit. None of you guys know what it feels like to not have a mate. You guys did the same thing to me with Sophia.”
He pauses, glaring at them all before he continues.
“I still have these strong feelings about Sophia. All I can do right now is wait for these few days to come. To wait till the Blue Moon is in effect for her mate switch to turn on. What will you do when you find out that she is my mate? What will you say if she’s not Will you comfort me, congratulate me? My wolf Micah has never been wrong with his instincts.
Josiah, what did you say today about trusting your wolf’s instincts? Should I call bullshit on your words?
Listen it’s been a long day, but let me make this clear. I believe Zion and Zeus. I know what his wolf is going through. He as an Alpha must be confused as I as a Beta. We are the two highest ranks minus Yeshua here. Yet our wolves can’t answer THE ONE question we so badly want to know.”
“Fuck this I’m getting a drink.”
Michael leaves everyone speechless. Every word he said is true.
“My Aunt is here,” Yeshua said quietly, still processing what Michael said.

Saul went to open the door.
Gods, how did I miss this. My dad came too! Seeing Azah’s family for the first time is nerve-racking. Azah’s brother took almost everything of the Moons gene. Yeshua and Joshua can practically be twins here. Just like their moms both look alike but are two very different people. I see where Azah gets her eyes from, she and her father are much alike.
“Our daughter?”
“Hyun-Jae will show you the way”
Joshua quietly observed the place, pouring himself a glass of whiskey that Michael pulled out from my collection. Joshua hands a glass to his dad, they both seem stressed about something.
After 15 minutes had passed, we all awkwardly waited for Azah’s mom.
“ Ok, I’m satisfied,” Eos says as she comes back from my room.
“FUCK SAKES MOM!”
“Do you know what we had to do? To get her calm here! Shits not easy. I just can’t man… I thought she was gonna kill you guys.” Joshua leaving the house.
Azah’s dad seems content, more at ease than before. Confirming Joshua’s statement, his wife’s possible reaction was a stressing point. A discomfort.
Eos eyes glowed and came forward to me while taking both of my hands. A strange force of magic pushed me back and forced Zeus into control.
My eyes glow in response.
She began to speak to me inside my mind.
“You care for her?”
“Yes.”
“Do you know why you care for her?”
“No. I … I don’t understand why.”
“Thank you.”
“For?”
Her smiles genuinely reach her eyes as they twinkle. Azah. Azah has her smile. It’s the small things that she got from her mother. They may seem small to others but to one who pays attention, will notice the small details is what make the biggest difference. A Moons. Her mother’s daughter. Her mother? Vessel of Theia or was it? Wait how is all this coming to my head right now.
“You notice.”
“You are… You are..”
“Mother of Sight. I give you this knowledge to keep to yourself, Not even Yeshua knows but his wolf Yehu has lived many centuries with me and knows. I know who you are.”
Forgetting that she is in my mind and can hear my every thought.
“If you truly want to know. Her spirit has given you an answer already, you just have to listen.”
“Listen? How?”
“Enjoy.”
Letting go of my hands, she smiles once more and says goodbye to everyone. My dad has always told us that the Moons family is much more powerful than we could ever imagine. The genesis gene is capable of being the true vessel of any spirit goddess. But the main one is always the Moon Goddess.
My dad came forward, placing his hand on my shoulder “Eos must approve of you. She’s not like her sister Selene. She’s always the one to react first and ask questions later.”
“Listen, Josiah and I are sorry. Michael is right.”
“Uh. Oh, that’s right. Yeah sure.”
“What did my aunt do? Usually, when my mom or aunt forces themselves into people’s minds they become disoriented for a while. You good man?”
That’s an understatement, “Yeah. Look I just have a lot to think about.”
Everyone takes their belongings and heads out the door. Michael is the last to leave with a bottle of rum.
“By this week if she’s not the one, you’ll need Josiah to step up for a month or two before I’m back.”
I knew this wasn’t something up for debate from the sound of his voice. It pains me to know what he means by this, and it pains me, even more, to see this from Michael. My best friend was the only one out of all of us that truly wanted to find his mate first.
“Yeah. I understand.”
